It is a surprising place! Out in the middle of the country, not far from Santander, this place offers excellent paellas and quite a good service. The choice of wines is good and the value for money is average. If you are looking for a good place to eat paella in Cantabria, this is it!

Traveling from the west to Santander airport for a late afternoon flight, La Leyenda de La Mancha is a perfect stop off to try home cooked traditional Spanish fare in quaint, homely surroundings, serenaded by 90s hard rock! Super friendly staff and a great find, enjoy.

We went there to have late dinner being advised by the hotel reception. It was a great surprise! We had beer and grilled meat (Parrillada): everything exceeded our expectations and also the service was very nice and fast. Price was also a great positive surprise! Definitely a place to recommend! Volveremos!

I have been a fan of El Nuevo Molino for many years and have enjoyed many wonderful dinners there. However, our last meal there surpassed any previous ones. The chef has managed to devise a completely new menu, full of surprises, whilst still using local ingredients and quirky adaptations of regional specialities. There are wonderful inventions, such as razor clams in chickpea stew broth, sea urchin infused fried egg...so many new items, that we decided to try the "long and lean" tasting menu. It was all absolutely fantastic and demonstrated the artistry and imagination of the chef. The traditional items are still offered, and other tables were mixing and matching new and old.As usual, service was perfect - professional and yet very welcoming at the same time and on a unseasonable chilly evening, it was wonderful to sit next to a log fire! Now we have tried all the new dishes, I would certainly recommend all of them, but I also suggest not to ignore the local beef carpaccio, fried squid and cheese ice cream from the traditional menu. The fish main courses are always sublime, only the freshest fish is used and cooked absolutely perfectly. To summarise; this is my idea of a perfect restaurant: beautiful building, wonderful staff, amazing food and one of the best priced Michelin starred restaurant that I have visited.

It is a nice restaurant not a fancy, looks really old. I ordered from the bar disk a piece of cheese with nuts and sweet jam, it was so so cute and tasty. .The main dish was mussels with tomatoes sauce. simple and suite for the break time for a business day in the nearby industrial area...

It has very easy access to the highway and on our way back to Santander we decided to stop here for lunch. We had the "menu del dÃa" on a Saturday for 25 ⬠and we were not dissapointed. We got a very tasty 3 course meal with very decent portion sizes and very good food quality. You will find mainly spanish classics with a twist in the menu. Very friendly and efficient staff and enough place to park your car.

I've been to this place several times, both under the old and new management. In both cases the food is great and fantastic value for the money. Before, the menu was more ample with fish and seafoods, but the offer is still pretty good.Service, on the other hand, is a bit weird, the only qualification I can give to them, they are a but sour and not pleasant, but they do get your orders to the table. It's a place to try, definitely, if you can put up with the local spirit!

The location and atmosphere are nice but there is no menus in English. It's more a bar than a resturant
