It's more like a little deli inside but the wine is great and the tiny grease proof paper wrap of slice meat is melt in your mouth. I have been here a couple of times the staff are lovely (I may be in love with the gorgeous waitress that served me!) but that doesn't mean I am bias. Situated in the middle of calle San lorenzo the choice of tapas bars is over whelming but this is a gem!

I've been in Burgos for a week for work traipsing around town to find a place I like and where the food is good. Finally found it on my last evening here! It's got a bit of an alternative independent vibe with good music. Lovely atmosphere with some comfy armchairs by the window, and great down- to- earth friendly staff. The menu looks appetising and doesn't disappoint. Certainly best food I've had in Burgos at reasonable prices. Good for vegetarians too! I'd highly recommend it but not for the overly conventional. You may not like the music.

We were looking for somewhere for lunch after visiting the Cathedral and saw a queue outside this restaurant waiting for it to open. We asked a young girl why were people queueing and she said the food, atmosphere and prices were so good everyone wanted to go !!!! So we had a wander around the area and came back. The place was buzzing, we managed to get a table and looked for the menu. With basic Spanish you can get by though there are plenty of diners willing to translate. Or look at what others are eating and say "I'll have that".The guy behind the bar gives you a shout when your order is ready if you are downstairs, there's also another room upstairs or you can sit at the bar and see everything being cooked fresh. Our lunch was so filling we didn't have room for a dessert - and they looked gorgeous.Drinks are very reasonable (not a tourist trap) - a glass (copa) of good red wine 1.40 euro -that's right 1.40 !!!! a small beer 1.00 euro.Well recommended . The fact that it is so busy speaks for itself.

We ended up having two leisurely dinners here during our stay in lovely Burgos, once outside while the sun shone one evening and one in a cosy corner when the wind was blowing off the snow. The staff are friendly, and put up with our limited Spanish graciously. The tapas are very good, particularly the salmon, avocado and tomato stack, the duck 'sausage roll', the octopus and potato and the mini burgers. Drinks are cheap, and there's a good mix of pilgrims and locals filling the place every evening.

CLOSED FOR VACATIONS from July 10, 2017 to August 7, 2017 Disponemos de cartas en Ingles y en Aleman
This place is 9kms from central Burgos but well worth the cab fare. But if you speak NO Spanish then maybe it isn't for you. But if you can get by, then make the effort as this is the roast baby lamb that locals eat. â¬30 for morcilla, lamb, salad, a bottle of wine, bread, desert, coffee and a liquor. Delicious just doesn't describe it - so have a look at the pictures.

Our second time here and again no fault to be found. Quirky decor and beautifully presented food is just the invitation you need to experience the subtle and not-so-subtle flavours of an interesting menu. Starters are consistent with previous visit earlier in the year but the mains were a total change as were the deserts which were a step beyond and as fantastic tasting as they looked. Wish weâd been able to visit again but Christmas got in the way.Thank you very much for your words!!!We take this opportunity to remember that we closed for vacations from January 6 to 14, both included!!!

Norte Gastrobar was born in May 2017 in the heart of the historic city of Burgos. Our aim is to combine a quality and casual cuisine in one place while unleashing all the different facets of a bar, cane, vermouth, wine, drinks and cocktails. Customer serv
Lively place at dinner time even on a weekday. Combination of beers, wines and cocktails with a bite to eat. Nice food, some traditional spanish dishes with an original twist, some more worldly. Reasonable prices. Try the salmorejo (cold soup) with tuna tataki and the crispy artichokes.Thank you very much for your kind comments.I hope you enjoy the view of our beautiful city. The "salmorejo" is a typical dish of southern Spain (similar to "gazpacho") very refreshing and that we give it a special touch with tuna. Thanks for your recommendation.See you soon.Whe are #GenteDelNORTE

This place thou a little on the expensive side is a real treat. Hard to believe you get food like this when you first walk in the door of this seemingly cramped little bar. We had the menu del dia..Highly recommended !

From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed. The restaurant is beautifully decorated but unpretentious. Service was friendly and attentive. Everything we ate was delicious! From the chefâs snacks to our main dish,(fish, the house specialty) everything was artfully prepared. We enjoyed the croquetas and the octopus and the rape as a main course. Dessert was also fabulous. This place is a must visit during stay in Burgos.
