We were recommended this restaurant from our landlord in SantâAnna arresi. We booked via text message to the mobile number provided we were a bit sceptical about the booking system but we trusted the locals suggestions. We arrived a bit later but we were warmly welcomed by a very friendly waitress. We sampled well chilled local vermentino from two different vineyards both matched the locally caught fish we had (this restaurant specialty) to start we shared octopus & potatoes salad, stewed mussels in tomato sauce, fried calamari and red prawns, we skipped the pasta as middle course and opted, following the friendly waitress suggesting for a line catch salt baked sea bass we just asked for a side salad as accompanied as we were already fullWe also skipped the dessert, nevertheless we had a very relaxed evening with attentive service and beautifully cooked locally sourced fish.Exactly what I look for when On holiday a genuine eatery without frills

An improbable spot for a good restaurant! They serve good variety of sea food (the frozen fish are marked by *). The price is relatively high comparing to other restaurants (twice higher). We tried vongole spaghetti, grilled seafood and sole fish. All prepared relatively well.We were told this is the most sophisticated restaurant around Porto Pino, the price is not justified I think (quality a bit better not worth twice the price). And it was the only restaurant filled with customers early evening.

I had been to this place a few years earlier and had been pleasantly surprised at the time. This time it was just as good with the seafood antipasti (around 10) as imaginative and surprising as the first time.

Cibus is located in the small village of Santadi where time stands still. The restaurant is thus a hidden gem waiting to be explored. You don't go there just to eat but to take in an experience of Sardinian food that is hard to be rivalled. The setting is very romantic in a small courtyard from where one can observe the open kitchen. We were a party of four and each dish we sampled was exquisite yet simple which is the essence of the food on the island. If you visit south Sardinia, make sure you include this restaurant as part of your culinary itinerary and you won't be disappointed, but only if you book in advance.

We went there as a group of six including three English students studying Italian. The meat menu was protein packed and way too much meat but the pizzas were huge, just one course, delicious and very satisfying. We sat outside. The atmosphere was relaxing. Staff attentive but not crowding you. I would recommend this restaurant for a Sardinian cultural experience.

We had dinner with 7 friends and were surprised of the quality, the friendliness and the value for money. We all ordered different dishes and everything tasted amazing. Great seafood and very good meat dishes. The owner speaks fluent german and helps in translating and explaining the dishes.

We stayed with Paula for a week. It's a really authentic Sardinian farm in the middle of nowhere so it's perfect if you want a quiet base from which you can get to the coast in half an hour. It's a no-frills experience which wouldn't suit everyone but we loved it? Despite speaking no Italian & the family speaking no English we somehow managed to communicate and Paula & her family are beyond lovely. They are so kind and warm that the other various guests we saw come & go all agreed. The food was wonderful as was the wine. Do not expect luxury. The rooms are lovely but very basic & my husband mended the shower head but nothing is too much trouble for the hosts. We could take bottles of water whenever we wanted & were sent to the airport with a picnic! Any defects in luxury are made up for by food & hospitality. Wonderful coastline nearby but come prepared as local shops are non existent.

An eco friendly structure within a biodynamic farm run by a much lovable German-Sardinian family with a heartfelt Steiner style. Not for those who are looking for traditional Sardinian dishes, it offers good healthy food and interesting events. The place is heaven on earth for kids!
