Letâs start with the good: cute sport with (limited) outdoor seating and is open during siesta times as well. Waiters are kind but speak no English. The real issue came with the dishes. First and foremost we were recommended to order the âCatch of the dayâ which was scampi shrimps. This was possibly the biggest lie I ever been told as the prawns were at least a week old but they explained that the taste was due to the prep method so I finished it. The 4 days that followed were some of the darkest times of my life bringing the the term âfood poisoningâ to a whole new level. Needless to say our holiday was ruined. There rest of the dishes were near filth too and not exactly reflected the description in the menu. The prices are higher than other local spots and the portions are about half as much.

Was looking forward to visiting this restaurant, which was close to our hotel and had good reviews. The food itself was good though portions were slightly small, especially the vegetarian ravioli.Sadly we found the staff unattentive and not very friendly.Overpriced and disapointing overall.

My husband and I ventured into this restaurant for dinner after walking by it during the day. Unbeknownst to us, it is family run and serves typical meals from the region of Campagna. Each course was delicious accompanied with a great regional wine from Vesuvius - all recommended by the owner. The restaurant was clean, along with the kitchen - which we had a look at. I highly recommend this place as there are limited options in Portico, and this restaurant will not disappoint. We were treaty to a wonderful after dinner amaro by the owner, and then he even gave us a bottle of local rosé wine to take with us. All I can say, it made the trip to Ercolano that much more worth it! Thank you for this wonderful review! Kindest regards and we hope to see you soon!!

I find it hard recommending this restaurantThe food was decent, but for the price it not worth it.The sea bass was good but it the most expensive sea bass i have eaten (40 euro), and i have tasted better. The salads was completely tasteless, no dressing at all.The other dishes were fine.Dear Erez. Thank you for your visit to MM Lounge Restaurant. We are very sure about quality of our product and we are really sure about competitive prices that we offer. But we respect of course your feedback. Please come again to taste MM and give us the possibility to try it again and improve your score for the next time. See you soon

Pizzeria FrittoRè (Portci, Porto del Granatello), dove la tradizione della pizza diventa gourmet. Specializzati in pizze classiche e gourmet.
Stopped here en route to the airport as we needed food (avoiding overpriced artisan sandwiches for tourist season at Naples airport). TA had given it a good review so we gave it a go. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the place was full of locals (always a good sign). We ordered a pizza to share (ricotta, mozerella and ham - which was delicious and light and freshly made in their huge clay pizza oven) water and coffee - bill was a very reasonable 14Euro. The menu mainly features pizza and thereâs plenty to choose from: traditional mozerella and tomato to more adventurous toppings such as pumpkin, black pig sausage and pistachios.

The prices are so cheap compared to any places nearby. The food is good, regardless of the low prices. We had the ricotta stuffed crust pizza and the Ripieno fritto and both were large portions and tasty. Not the best food we ate in Italy but still good. The place is family run and it didnt seem like any of the staff spoke english so be prepared to bumble through an italian conversation.

We discovered this great place thanks to the suggestion of our friends. The restaurant is linked to the Kbirr brewery, offering a wide original beers selection. But the other great point are the starters and the quality of meat! Big portions, tasty and unconventional flavours and a professional and friendly service! We came from Milan, where the same dinner would have had a price probably 3 times higher! Great dinner and experience, bravi!

Incredible pizza with amazingly tasty local produce. Went there twice during our stay in Ercolano and loved the food on both occasions. Prices are also very good - a Marinara was only 3.50 euros. I am Italian trust me I have eaten a lot of pizzas in my lifetime but what we have had here was on a different level. Loved every bite.

Having looked trip advisor we decided to try this restaurant. It was a 25 minute walk from our hotel in Herculaneum but boy was it worth it! We were welcomed warmly by the owner who apologised for his English - which was remarkable! We thoroughly enjoyed the three courses he brought us - freshly caught fish freshly cooked. The bill was 50 euros which included two bottles of wine and a bottle of water! Needless to say we booked again for two days later - and had another fab meal.Thank you Michael and Nicola Solomon

Step aside all other contenders, this little unassuming place, only a few minutes from the entrance to Herculaneum, has not only friendly staff but the best burgers ever (and I used to live in the US). With a really good selection of different styles of burgers and sides, they offer sit in or take-away (handy if you're staying in a hotel nearby). As it's small there isn't much room but it's a great atmosphere and generous portions. I had the Las Vegas burger, my sons had New York, all delicious and huge, well worth the price. My only problem was I had no room left for dessert.
