Reviews on Southern-Italian food in Cagliari, Province of Cagliari, Italy. Sardinia’s largest city (with a little over 150,000 people) and its capital for centuries, Cagliari on the island’s south coast offers the perfect mix of recreation and exploration options. The five-mile-long Poetto Beach is among the best city beaches on the Mediterranean, and together with the adjacent Marina Piccola, satisfies all manner of sun and sea pursuits. Seekers of culture will love Cagliari’s old district, Castello, where 13th-century towers still guard the medieval city walls.

Our family of 4 recently had dinner at this wonderful restaurant. The dinner starts with 10 appetizers, which are a mix of comfortable favors (marinated salmon, prosciutto with nectarine, etc) and other interesting treats that are seafood-, vegetable, or meat-based. The chef did a wonderful job substituting for our various allergies so that the one who cannot eat shrimp (moi) got something equally appealing and interesting as the usual offerings. After the appetizers, we have 2 pasta dishes....The ravioli stuffed with grouper in an octopus/tomato sauce is so delicious, we would have licked the plate clean if it was socially acceptable. The meat-based pasta is also perfectly yummy, if not a stand-out. The second dish is again amazing: beautifully grilled and tender squid and a piece of roasted suckling pig with cracking that melt in our mouth. It was juicy but not greasy. The desserts were 4 adorable treats, some chocolate-y, some creamy, and a pleasure to share. The servers were friendly, knowledgeable and took great care of us. We come to Cagliari every summer and our children want to make a dinner here a must-do events and a new family tradition.

Here at Non Solo Malto, as the name suggest, we do not serve just premium and crafted beers from around the world, but we have a wide selection of wine, spirits and crafted cocktails to accompaigne our gourmet menu, were you can find from a selection of t
The food was really regular, nothing special. It is just a regular pub, with not bad beer selection. Don´t really understand, how this place has so high rating as I came here based on good reviews of others.I don't remember your visit, and I don't understand the vote because you say it's all regular, thanks anyway

Two minutes far from the airport of Elmas, Lord Nelson is a family Restaurant in wich you can taste delicious food and drink special wines in a very warm environment...
We booked a table for Friday evening, 12th Oct at 8.30pm. This was confirmed, and a reminder was sent to us on the day. We didnât have a hire car, so walked the 2 miles to The Lord Nelson, looking forward to our meal, and a nice evening out. We arrived 10 minutes early to find the place in darkness, so strolled about and returned at 8.30pm. No sign of life. It began to rain. Heavily. We rang the bell - nothing. The place was in darkness, and a neighbour confirmed our fears - it was closed. So, question is - why did the online booking (âForkâ - operated by Tripadvisor) accept and confirm our reservation when the place was obviously closed down?? We then had a 2 mile walk back into town, (still raining), to try and find somewhere else to eat. To say we were disappointed is an understatement, we were fuming. What a waste of a whole evening of our 4 night stay in Cagliari.Dear Susan, we are sorry for that but is not our fault! The fork is slow and the day before you came we tryed to send the communication of our extraordinary day off but âthe forkâ stayed open and continued to receive bookings with no chance to communicate with the customers cause we were in hospital for our father breast surgery! We are really so sorry! If you understand please.. apologize!

I am from Cagliari but I live in Scotland, everytime when I visit Cagliari I always go to dine where Marina works. Marina finally has her own restaurant where she can show her talent. The quality of the food is unique and delicious. I recommend this place if you want to taste the sardinian tradition in a modern key. Well done Marina and good luck! See you next summer.

We knew this place required booking ahead however we decided to go on the off chance we'd get a table.......we were lucky......they let us have a table for one hour. Staff were very polite and pleasant. Drinks were delicious. Pizzas were lovely. Different from your normal pizzas as toppings are not run of the mill but very tasty anyway. Overall a very pleasant experience. Would recommend! But BOOK ahead!!

Visiting from th UK on our honeymoon we were made to feel very welcome. The food tasted amazing, with the best lobster linguine! Some great authentic Sardinian dishes and plenty of variety on the menu. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was excellent! I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're visiting Cagliari

Read about this on TripAdvisor. We weren't feeling like a big meal and thought this would suit. Went early - 7.30 - as it is small. Tables inside already reserved but we scored a small table in the lane outside. Ordered one meat and cheese platter and the tartare with anchovies and apricots from the small but delicious sounding menu. Had a red recommended by our wonderful friendly waiter. Food and wine excellent and great value. 30 E for food and 4 glasses of wine. Just what we needed. Highly recommend but book or go early Sort of cross between a wine bar , deli and restaurant. Unique and great choices.
