Find out what South American restaurants to try in Santos. Although it's also the location of the Latin America's largest seaport, Santos isn't just a boring port town. The city of 420,000, just 75 kilometers from São Paulo, features a seven-kilometer stretch of beach divided into just as many social cliques as you'd find on Ipanema. A verdant promenade separates the beach from the seafront condos and hotels, along which families and friends walk, amble, bike, skate, rollerblade, throw frisbees, you name it. Less sandy points of interest include the Museu do Café Brasileiro (Brazilian Coffee Museum), the Aquário Municipal (City Aquarium), the Orquidário Municipal (City Orchid Garden) and the Neo-Gothic Santos Cathedral.

Traditional cafe located in Santos downtown. This cafe is well known for its simplicity, excellent service, affordability and delicious options to sample the rich variety of local foods. (Pastels, mineiro quente, sanduÃches, etc). A great option for breakfast with friends, a snack / coffee during the day or a drink after work. The waitresses are very attentive and do not forget to sample their coffee!

The food is really great (French galettes) with finest ingredients. The drinks are delicous and made with care by an amazing barmen. This all is served in an unique and very tasteful ambience, in a villa. Great for dinner but also to have drinks ...

I went with my family including my twin grandchildren . Everebody tried a diferent dish and everybody loved it. The appetizer was buschetta with buffalo mozzarela, marinated tomato, olive oil and basil in a berth of italian bread slightly toasted . Delicious! I ordered San Peter Fish with grilled sweet potato and brussels sprouts. Very good! I really recommmend Yê . Surely I 'll return soon...

Had very good steak. Portion was very big. Good side dishes as well. It is an Argentenian restaurant, so selected an Argentenian wine. Could have selected something better! Nice atmosphere and very good service. Spoken English is a problem, but they had menu in English. A bit pricey by local standard.

Whenever I go to Santos, I have to stop by this place and have lunch, since they are not open for dinner. I usually order the white tuna, or Meca, with an oriental sauce or named Thai sauce, which is a thick soy sauce with some sweet and sour flavor. Anyway, the sangria, a type of drink made with wine, pineaple is on the house and the banana with passion fruit syrup as well. You may spend about 20-25 dollars per person, it's worth it. Service is friendly and good. Paquito, the owner is always there, serving and checking if the customers are being well assisted.

The Van Gogh Pizzeria and Restaurant offers a diversified menu, since pastas until a rich variety of pizza's flavours.
The hotel reception recommended and there we went. My wife is celiac therefore pizza was out of question. After speaking with the waiter we decided for a risotto with dry tomatoes and rucula as this dish was guarateed gluten free. After awhile he came back and informed the dish contained gluten. After discussing alternatives he said they could produce a risotto gluten free. What we got was a dish of rice with tomato sauce and rucula. No bismato rice. It was not bad but not a risotto. We initially ordered a tonic campari but after 10 minutes we were learned they were out of campari. Solution was a caipiroska. We will think twice before returning
