Things to do in Santa Catarina Palopo
This place is very sweet, and cozy! The owners work very hard day and night to prepare fresh pastries, delightful juices, whole wheat bread, and much more. The atmosphere is friends and I was even able to see some wonderful street musicians while I ate there the first time. This place is a must visit when in Panajachel! !
El Cisne is a restaurant that serves delicious typical Guatemalan cuisine at half the price, a third of the noise, and all the flavor of restaurants in Panajachel.
A very clean restaurant with a surprisingly big menu. They served me breakfast even though it was afternoon, which was super nice. I had Divorced Eggs. My dining partner was super excited to see breaded shrimp on the menu, and she said they were delicious! We sat outside on the covered patio. It was very nice but the traffic was noisy. We will definitely go back to try more of their yummy food!Thank you, it is a pleasure to serve you.you will always be welcome at Lake Atitlan
Pana's first craft brewery location, serving in-house beers made on-site. Enjoy by the pint, flight, or take some home in a growler. Enjoy with fresh popcorn, or order food from our cafe down the street or just bring your own from one of the many close-by
Alex and Melvin were phenomenal to us during our visit. These two young employees from Pana specifically fired up the popcorn machine for us, provided samples (including a chocolate coffee flavour that Alex had thought up), and eagerly told us all about the 9-month-old brewery. The beer was great and so was the company.

We were 10 for lunch. Three of us arrived early and asked if they could put together tables for 10 or 12. No problem. While waiting we enjoyed big liquados (fresh fruit drinks--melon, strawberry, and banana). The others were delayed so we ordered and enjoyed main courses that included rice with vegetables and fresh, steamed veggies as sides--plus excellent guacamole. Each dinner was 35 Quetzales or about US$5.00. The total bill for 10 people was $70--including drinks. We will definitely return the next time we are in Panajachel.

I ate here once for breakfast and once for dinner. Breakfast was pretty standard. They offered the usual- eggs, beans, oatmeal, pancakes. It was fine. For dinner, they were able to accommodate our large group with a reservation. The service was great! They have an okay menu. I got the pepian, which was delicious! Everyone else enjoyed their food, too. There isn't anything too unique on their menu, but it's a solid choice for dinner. They do not serve any alcohol.

Cafe Moka is a local Coffee Shop in Panajachel Lake Atitlan Guatemala, Guatemala is Famous for Coffee and Cafe Moka provides an authentic experience and taste of the finest locally grown Coffee. Cafe Moka is located on the main street in Panajachel above the street in a nice launch atmosphere, great views, pool tables and food. The staff are friendly and provide great service at reasonable prices. From iced coffee to a selection of Local Beers and desserts. Enjoy
There are 2 restaurants side by side on the first floor of the building to the right of the boat landing - this one and Restaurant Palopo (which was closed when we there). We had a typical and adequate but not stellar Huevos Rancheros for Q30 including coffee that was OK. One unusual aspect was blue corn tortillas (though they weren't super tasty). The front has great views over the lake and the back is shady with a nice outlook over gardens and the hills. Hit the spot for us - and a large Guatemalan family was clearly enjoying their fish platters and ice cream sundaes at 9am! - when little else was open but walk another 80 yards or so to Cafe Tuk if you want excellent coffee.

Had a good night out at Pana Rock as we enjoyed the live music and happy hour drinks. Ended up having breakfast here the day after (needed quick wifi) and that was rather disappointing. Took a long time and food itself was only so so. Conclusion; great for a night out but eat somewhere else.

This restaurant (and hotel) is right on Lake Atitlan. If you come by boat there is a dock by the hotel â just walk up the path a few hundred yards and itâs on your right. They have both indoor and outdoor seating where the outdoor seating is under a solid roof (overhang from the main building) and from here you have a great view of the hotel pool and lake. Itâs quite lovely. The décor makes great use of vibrant colors. They put bright colored cloth napkins in the water glasses making for a very colorful table setting. The food was very interesting and good, It was well presented, fresh tasting and well made. This is a very relaxing place to have a very good lunch (or dinner I suppose) in Santa Catarina Palopo. We ate here for dinner and the food was delicious and service was great! They have live music some nights. We all enjoyed our steaks and they have a delicious chimichurri sauce. The prices are reasonable.
