Things to do in San Ramon
This restaurant is around an hour away from La Fortuna downtown. It has a very peaceful environment and the staff was very kind. They offer free wifi service to their customers. There is abundant parking space. If you are visiting Costa Rica I would strongly suggest this restaurant. I believe their strenghts are breakfast and coffee. I even came one night for dinner and it was satisfying as well. One of the main reasons why I am recommending this place is because they have a REAL coffee machine (not a $10 coffee maker, percolator, or a brewstation) The taste of coffee is just magnificent. The portions of food are enough to make you feel full and happy. Finally, they even offer Costa Rica's most popular and traditional beers, sweets and candy. Last but not least, they have a small souvenir shop inside the restaurant. Give it a try. It won't disappoint. It is an honor for La Casona MÃa to know that you liked our service and we appreciate your opinion
I've been here three times, various times of the day and always completely satisfied. The food is always delicious, prepared with expert care and freshest ingredients. Highly recommend Soda Filipos.

We were taken here for lunch by our guide following a tour to see Quetzals. Very tasty local food, large portions. We really enjoyed the food and would certainly recommend it for a taste of local cuisine. The bonus was the bananas put on a log for the birds to come and feed on, we saw so many beautiful birds at close quarters.

When looking for a truly local coffee experience Tramo Los Angeles is a place to enjoy a great coffee and best home-made cheese. This family-run business offers to visitors a warm welcome and great ambiance.

We were brought to El Jardin Restaurant after a Sunday morning church service by a pastor friend as his invited guests. We knew nothing about the place before driving there from a not-so-nearby town (Naranjo). "El Jardin" turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The food is tasty with a limited but adequate selection. The prices seemed reasonable as well, but we didn't pick up the tab. On a sunny day, like it was when we were there, the view of the surrounding hills and countryside is absolutely wonderful. The hillside garden just behind the restaurant is a tranquil place for a walk and provided us with an opportunity for an extended after-meal chat. There is also a large souvenir shop next to the restaurant which carries the usual tourist-oriented fare -- Costa Rican tee shirts, handcrafts, etc.

This tiny soda sits at the north end of a group of three sodas a few kilometers north of that ubiquitous tourist dive Mi Rancho, If you want to try typical Costa Rican food that doesn't make you say "so what?", this is the place. It's a clean, tidy, and above all else cheerful place tended by six or so Ticas who work behind the counter and on the floor. Although it is on the tourist route to Arenal the clientele are almost exclusively Tico and local. I was told about Soda Diana by a gringa friend, but I have never seen another gringo there. The food is the normal Costa Rican soda fare, but raised to a very high level. My first meal there consisted of gallo pinto, fried sweet plantains, tongue in salsa, and lovely cafe con leche. The bill was 2,200 colones, or a hair over four dollars. The casado with pork chop, many sides, and passion fruit in water ran 3,500 and I could barely finish it. They change up dishes on a daily basis, so you need not eat the same meal twice in a row. I almost forgot that the tortillas are made fresh on the spot to meet demand. They are patted out by hand and cooked on a hot pan before your eyes, by a woman who works with incredible efficiency while maintaining a steady banter with her fellow workers and customers alike.Sadly, this place has meant the almost complete cessation of my cooking at home.

Chicken Wings Restaurant
This place offers the best chicken wings w/ sauce of the region. I really like the way they are done, because there is a variety of sauce options, for all tastes (from sweet to spicy). And then, you can get an ice cream, if you are in for a desert. Finally, it is cheaper than lots of options that only gives you small chicken wings.

Soda in San Ramon, Costa Rica
We've been here multiple times. This is a smaller restaurant with modest furniture and surroundings; a casual place in a smaller town, central Costa Rica. We have never been disappointed in whatever we've ordered. This is not a gourmet place by any means but still great taste for the price.

Travelling from San Jose to Arenal we stopped for lunch here. We choose it because it didn't have a tour bus outside although there was several cars. We were made very welcome. Simple menu and I choose the chicken fajitas which was very good although not spicy (this is Costa Rica!) Very tasty though.Would recommend

A phenomenal dining experience presented in a breath taking room, perched on the edge of the cloud forest. The cuisine is a fusion of traditional regional dishes and popular classics from across the country, enhanced by innovative sauces, spices and combi
Our breakfast, lunch and dinner were here at El Sendero. Waiter Gabriel and waitress Konnie were exceptional. Chef visited our table. He obviously takes pride in his food and presentation. Prices are reasonable, food was tasty and well prepared. Make sure you try the blackberry sauce for breakfast and dinner.Dear Skippy4159Thank you for choosing Restaurante El Sendero, located in Villa Blanca Cloud Forest Hotel, member of Greentique Costa Rica.We really appreciate your review, please come back any time to enjoy the best again.Johannes Kohkemper AGreentique Hotels Costa Rica.
