It's a lovely restaurant, with a pleasant modern decor and delicious regional cuisine with beautiful presentation. The chef was kind enough to take our late-hour booking. I had an oven cooked dried meat rice and an "escondidinho" which were amazing. We had caipirinhas for drinks which were also nicely prepared. The service was a little slow. Perhaps because of later hours I could not see many staff around. The reason I did not give the top rating to Divina is that I felt a lack of social responsibility. I was not given a fiscal invoice upon request. Pirenópolis is an amazing historic town, and the only way to maintain it is though payment of taxes. Tourism has a key responsibility in supporting it, so this attitude must change.

We went here to eat alittle food before we went to our selected restaurant for a late dinner. This a place with full meat meals, plates of appetizers to share, crepes and beers of all types. We ate here several times over our New Years stay. I have liked every dish I ate from here. Crepes, chicken passarinho, meat/fries appetizer, and artisan black beer. The prices are reasonable and the service pretty good. I would suggest this restaurant for anyone visiting this city.

While it may be true that you will have to sharpen your incisors to chew through the Churrascaria offerings, the rest of the spread, from the extensive salad bar to the pastas and chickens, are a welcome choice for lunch. With accommodations for at least a hundred diners, it is not a small, intimate eatery. But it is breezy and close by the town church square, and you get a refrigerante with your very reasonably priced lunch. Time your visit. It's only open for lunch until five pm. Recommended. Try the fudge with your cafezinho.

O nome "B
I noticed that several people who just preceded me in their comments got some points absolutely in synch with me - starting with the access, which is a bit dangerous - fortunately, it's not too busy a road, but if you are coming from Pirenópolis by car (as most customers certainly are), you must take great care to enter. Secondly, it is pretty astounding, though not uncommon in Pirenópolis, that credit or even debit cards are not accepted. It limits what one eats, in some ways, as, like so many wrote, prices are actually almost prohibitive. Though the food is good, it's just not necessarily worth it to drive out of town, where there are some equally good or possibly better eateries, to spend money on food which, except for the dessert, is more Brazilian or even international, than actually authentic local cuisine.Yes, service was well-done - our waiter gave us a useful suggestion to change a side-order for our fish dish (peixada - which was with sea fish, which I prefer, but is not really local, as just stated) from pirão to some tasty potatoes with peppers and garlic. And Yes, the historic items and decorations reminded my wife of when she grew up next door to her parents' general store, which is what Venda do Bento years before becoming a restaurant. There are definitely some nice photo ops.Last but not least, though we cannot necessarily attribute it to the food at this locale, my wife did have an unusual tummy ache not too long after our meal there. Unfortunately, in her mind at least, it will be forever connected to this restaurant.

We stayed at the Villa do Comendador so of course we had to check out its cuisine beyond just the breakfast. One thing that stood out - not just at the various eateries, but overall - is the very friendly and generally efficient service (only on one day a waiter in training got a confused about our order, but it ultimately went well). Not sure this is where I comment on the restaurant's pizza nights - so they make their own flour and their ingredients are certainly of good quality, the pizzas are just OK. I did enjoy the one made with shrimp, my wife thought the ones with shimeji a bit without taste. If you stay long enough and on one of the nights pizza is served, of course do try it, just don't expect anything too much.We didn't try all of their dishes of course - there is a very good variety, both dishes with local touches, as well as more international options. I noticed one young man praising the lamb chops - I agree, they were quite good with a blackberry sauce and the shimeji risotto as a side dish. Someone else recommended the robalo-fish with cooked bananas as a side. My wife and daughter liked the chicken parmeggiana, though none of the dishes wowed us, but they were tasty and reasonably priced. The hamburguer is avoidable though. The 2 chicken appetizers we had were well-served - the hot sauce that came with the "tulipas" (closest thing to Buffalo wings) was above average sharp and tasty. All things considered, on a longer stay in Piri I would recommend people go to the Villa restaurant to have something different for dinner - or maybe lunch - especially since many places in Piri only open on weekends and I believe this restaurant is always open - and if you are staying at Villa, of course you should have dinner here at least once.
