Completely agree with the other good reviews of this restaurant. We were greeted by the chef who was extremely friendly and talked us through the menu. I decided on the fillet steak which was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Overall very good value for money and highly recommended.

Nice beach bungalow style with your typical menu of fresh fish and more fresh fish. Prices tend to be a little high but then again, believe it or not, that this the deal in most of the tourist spots, particularly in Rio and other spots on the costa verde. Nice spot on the veranda overlooking the beach with some surfers plying their trade as best as they can. For about $30 or so you get a full on and filling fish platter for 2 PEOPLE with cleanly fried fish (filleted without having to deal with all the bones, the way I like it), lots of rice and beans and a nicely varied salad. Again, nothing earth shattering but the goal was to fill up on some nice and healthy items before hiking around the Trindade National Park area further down the road past the village. Bonus? A few chickens wandering the beach for no apparent reason whatsoever.

We thought we were alone in the restaurant and then realised that there was a garden busy with customers! Food was excellent.

My partner and I spent a lovely evening here. The service is some of the best I've had in Brazil (fast but relaxed and attentive) and the food (we shared the Moqueca, Brazilian fish stew) was excellent. We tried several caipirinhas with different types of Cachaça which were also all great, not so sweet as many you get served. The deserts (different types of baked fruits with different sauces and ice creams) were also excellent and a nice change from cake! Highly recomended.

This was our first meal in Paraty and was quite impressive. The fish in lemon sauce with banana coating was very tasty although the cheesy accompaniment did not go so well. The service was very attentive but no wines are available by the glass which is a pity.

We actually were there earlier when this place had no entry on tripadvisor. I could not put a review because I was unable to add it, since I could not figure out how to specify the address and location. This is not fine food, but the experience is truly enjoyable. Brazilian comfort/slave food at its best. It's mentioned as "African" here, but I would really call it Brazilian, albeit with strong African roots. We plan to return on our next trip to Brazil next month. We'll make a detour just to be sure to go, but we'll skip Parati and its overpriced tourist traps altogether, whether hotels or restaurants. Added value is that apparently the old road to Cunha through the park has now been fixed and should be manageable.
