After apng day in the field our host suggested to stop here for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised as the place was clean and charming. The food was so good and plenty of choices to try. I liked it and would love to eat here again

Local agradável com um espeto de carneiro muito gostoso. Um lugar bem tÃpico com boa decoração. Atendimento muito bom e cerveja estupidamente gelada.

Barretus is no more the "meeting point" of Petrolina by night... I have been there recently and that is far away from the place used to attract many people in the past. There is not a specific reason for that: food is acceptably good, service slow (as usual) prices, slightly expensive... it may be possible the place become worst also because of the new Petrolina Quality Inn hotel just in front: too many "turists" and the Barretus took advantage? At the moment I would better suggest Bododromo more lively and "genuine" than the Barretus; eventually I have very nice memories in the Barretus: I sincerely wish them to be back to the trendy / nice place they used to be few years ago, good luck!

O buffet possui uma boa variedade de verduras, legumes, opções de massa etc! Escolhi um rodÃzio e as opções não são tão variadas!

Specialized in billy goat, also serves regional food like 'baiao de dois' a mix of beans and rice with 'queijo de coalho' a kind of regional cheese. We tried 'kafta' made of billy goat meat, filled with queijo de coalho and it was nice. There is a homemade pepper preparation that was good and is available at the cashier.

Although the place is beautiful and very charming, the music they play is too loud and it made it very hard for us to talk. It is a pity! We ordered tapioca with dried meat, shrimp and cod fish pastel, baked cheese and local beer. Nothing special! The service was OK, and it was kind of expensive.

Good restaurant, that has an extensive menu, where try to fuse Nordestinian food, with atlantic Brazilian cuisine. They succeed better in the seafood, but the traditional nordestinian, is not as good. caldinho de peixe and Lobster are very good... I suggest they reduce his menu, and work only in his best offering. For sure this will improve the outcome. Good, but could be better.
