We have eaten here twice. The set up is cafe style with both outdoor and indoor seating. It is set back a little from the street giving a good view of the people in the street without being inconvenienced by the traffic. Seating is simple many people walk by and exchange greetings with friends- it is just that kind of placeThe choices are ample and you must take care not to order too much, sharing appetizers and main dishes is perfectly acceptable or you may be stuffed. I would estimate it would take me another year to eat my way through the menu. The empanadas are a delightful start followed by a pasta accompanied by delightful brazilian wine (yes you read that correctly) or special Brasilian beers. The owner will happily help you decide which will most compliment your food choices.I have not yet been able to save enough room to chose a desert, being tempted by delightful appearing sweets and cakes etc. (perhaps the next time:-)Moderate cost good food and excellent drink make this a very pleasant relaxed place to nibble away to your hearts content while watching the holidayers in the street.

"You don't need to pay if you don't like it". So he told me about the Banana-grilled Fish. I don't like bananas like that. Period. My wife did, so we ordered. It was the culinary highlight of our time in Imbassai.Ps. I did not eat the bananas!

#correvemprosombra sigam @restsombradamangueira
This restaurant is under a tree-- a massive mango tree well worth the trip in and of itself. There is a massive net that catches the mangos so you don't get boinked on the head if you eat outside. We never visit the coast without a stop here for the best in sea food and especially the mocquecas cannot be beaten. If you are staying along the coast in another town get instructions because it can be difficult to find the town. After you pass Imbassai about 10k down the road you swill see a sign but the road into Diogo is difficult as it is an acute right hand turn off the main high way running along the coast. Almost looks like a private road, but don't be deterred your there and a couple of Kms of cobble stone, speed bumps and you are there.Definitely worth the trouble.

this is an award winning restaurant in a small isolated town that my wife and I "discovered" by accident trying to get to the beach in Diogo a few kilometers north of Praia do Forte. We would have driven past except that there was a police vehicle with several satisfied looking police officers getting in their SUV when we drove by. This is always a good sign for good food so in we went.We were not disappointed. The moqueca de camerão com queijo was excellent, better than Yimanja in Salvador. The service lacked a little since the servers were watching football on TV and we were the only customers, but this is a small town, so whats your hurry? You will spend much more for less in big cities. Dont miss your opportunity to eat fresh sea food done in the Bahian style in one of the small communities where it was invented
Atendimento excelente. Fomos recepcionadas por Olivia, e atendidas por Rosy. O Local é lindo, agradável e aconchegante. E a bebida gelada. Recomendo.
