The service and food was good, with the exception of the Empanada. It's the first time we got one, half cooked, filled with slices of cheddar cheese, was not authentic at all.The casados, and fruit juices were all very good.Easy to get to when exiting the waterfall road, easy parking.
We enjoyed a typical Costa Rican lunch down at Soda Dona Eli. The food is fresh and tasty. The service was also good.
Delicious Costa Rican food and professional service, it is a nice place with a natural environment and in addition you can enjoy an amazing night tour, the frogs are beautifulhi hazel, thanks to visit us and enjoyed of our food, we are very happy to have you attended in the restaurant....best regardsrancho paraiso de ranas team
We just wanted a quick snack in the afternoon after visiting Rio Celeste and happened upon this little cafe. We had excellent fruit smoothies, decent coffee and friendly service. The nachos were nothing to write home about, but better than waiting a long time for another "casado" or marginal pizza.
This is a unique restaurant. It has large fish tanks in the back where you choose your fish, it's scooped up in a net and taken to the kitchen to prepare. The fried fish was delicious and served with generous portions of side dishes, and appetizer, and a dessert. The dining area looks out over a fish pond, too.

We went for a casados typical lunch and noticed everyone else ordering corn pancakes made out of fresh corn. Sweet or savory. We came back a second day for them after hiking and with a cup of coffee, it was a great snack. Fantastic treat. Cars piled up three deep on a Sunday afternoon, for a good reason.

Restaurant and Bar situated in the beautiful surroundings of the Finca Agroecologica in Bijagua, northern Costa Rica. Offering a wide selection of home-made dishes using local and organic home-grown ingredients. Open from 12pm until 11pm tuesday-sunday.
This restaurant is connected to the Finca Verde Lodge. It was advised to us as a bit more upscale eatery in Bijagua. Well, I would agree and disagree. Service is not an exemption compared to other places around the country. The area is nice but you appreciate it more during daylight. At night it is a wooden, covered area with nothing special. In fact, we returned a couple of days for a drink and to admire their butterfly garden. The food is good with local dishes with an Western touch. But also nothing outstanding in terms of choice, preparation or presentation. It is not overly expensive but we have eaten at nicer places with a bit more atmosphere in town.
