One of the ancient countries with thousands of years of cultural traditions and heritages offers visitors an unique experience and adventure. After degustation of Georgian wines, you will travel to Mtskheta, an ancient capital of Georgia, and then to mountainous town Kazbegi. TrekGeorgia customized three sightseeing days for our three generations of family (including a 4- and 6-year-old) built around a few days at two different resorts. Leaving from Tbilisi, we went into the wine region, framed by the beautiful Caucasus Mountains. It was a perfect combination of fun (winery, horseback riding, climbing towers, easy hikes), culture (monasteries, museum), and spectacular scenery – all this amid the pandemic. Dimitri, our guide and driver, couldn't have given us a better experience. He was knowledgeable, patient and solicitous with the kids, and super dependable. We really enjoyed his company! It was our second visit to Georgia and we feel very comfortable and safe there. The people we met were friendly and welcoming. We are sure to return and would definitely consider arranging other tours with TrekGeorgia. Thank you, Dimitri and Nutsa (our guide on the previous visit)!

During this day, we visit contrasting sites of several historical eras. A professional guide and safe driver with comfortable car, take you to the adventure in the south part of Georgia. We start our trip at 08:30. Our driver and the guide pick you up from the hotel. We have three destinations to visit in southern Georgia : Vardzia cave complex, Rabati castle and Borjomi. We start our journey with Vardzia, which is a cave dating back to 12th century, excavated from the slopes of the Erusheti Mountain. We go on the way to Rabati Castle, that is a medieval castle complex of Asian style in Akhaltsikhe. Built in the 13th century, Rabati castle developed under the influence of different cultures over subsequent centuries and this is reflected in its architecture. Our last destination is Borjomi. Borjomi is a hydro-thermal health spa resort in the southern region of Samtskhe-Javakheti in Georgia. Borjomi has an international reputation for its geothermal spring mineral water resources.

This is more than a review: this is the story about how I fell in love with Georgia, its people and everything that turned an unpretentious trip to a foreign country into something extraordinary, including the awesome team of Gamarjoba Tours. These guys will go above and beyond to accommodate all your needs and make you feel at home... And when I say that, I really, REALLY mean it - Georgian hospitality at its best! Tata, our amazing blue-haired tour guide, couldn't be recommended enough. As she led our way through snowy mountains and wine glasses, Tata became an instant friend and made the whole experience even more special :) It was trully an unforgettable trip and I can't wait to go back!

We just returned from TBilisi, and Megi made sure everything went perfectly. We had my 18 yo daughter who was born in TBilisi, myself, and her 3 grandparents 74, 76, and 80! Teimiraz was the BEST guide and Melvud was an excellent driver. We didn’t have to worry about anything. From picking up and taking to the airport, to dinner recommendations and reservations, everything was managed so well! We loved our trip and can’t wait to return! I highly recommend this company!!

We took a tour with “Fab Georgia” travel from Tbilisi to Gudauri. We agreed with Fab Georgia that we would take the tour and be dropped at our hotel in Gudauri and we would not return with the trip to Tbilisi. We were told this would be no problem and we paid upfront. We also confirmed that we would be dropped at the hotel in Gudauri in writing by Whatsap. The tour was “ok”, we visited a small fort and tasted honey by the side of the road. However, when we arrived in Gudauri at the ski resort the driver refused to take us to the hotel making an excuse that it was not possible to take the mini van to the hotel. We knew this was ridiculous as we had already passed the hotel with the same mini van on the way to the mountain. Our hotel was only a 5 minute drive away. We called our hotel and they also confirmed to the driver that the road was clear and this was communicated to the driver. We called Mari, a manger at Fab Georgia, we explained the situation and she refused to help us and laughed at us that we would have to find our own transport from the mountain with our luggage. We managed to find the guide (who was with other guests skiing at this point). He was very helpful, completely understood the situation and after a few calls he said that in the circumstances Fab Georgia should pay for a taxi to take us to our hotel if the driver is refusing. The tour guide managed to find a taxi for us and he paid for it. We thought this was the end of the matter. However, after arriving at our hotel my partner began to receive a torrent of abuse from Mari, a manager at Fab Georgia by Whatsap voice recording. She was saying that we must pay for our own taxi and said that she was calling the police. We responded and explained the situation and reminded her of the agreement we had made and forwarded her the earlier messages where the agreement is clear. She responded 10 minutes later to set out our hotel name and that the police would now be coming to arrest us. This was very threatening. I am an English lawyer by profession however, I do not speak a word of Georgian or Russian and my partner was terrified. We waited but the police did not come to our hotel to our knowledge. The failure to drop us at our hotel appears to have been initially caused by the driver, however, the extreme escalation and threats of arrest by the police by Mari was unbelievable. I hope no other tourists are threatened like this in the future and I would recommend that people avoid Mari and Fab Georgia at all costs.

If you are traveling to Georgia and want to hire Koba as a guide but he is busy, reschedule your trip for when he is available. He is that good. I am just now finishing a 21 day solo trip with Koba that ranged from the east to the black sea and everything in between. Koba's knowledge of the country is encyclopedic, his good humor never wained and his enthusiasm never faltered. I have traveled extensively and because of Koba, this is one of my best trips. This is my unqualified recommendation.
