This memorial to fishermen lost at sea is very sympathetically done. Very interesting and really liked the design of it. Situated just at the entrance to the marina, be careful not to miss it.

This lighthouse is modern. It is completely white and stands near the ocean. It is automated. It has a tower in the very top. It was built in in 1972. and is surrounded with barbed wire. I like the star-shaped form. Worthwhile to see~

There were 3 boats like them, built in 1945. They used copper nails and bolts. These boats were rescued from the ocean. It was originally built by the Royal Australian Army. The oldest boat is now in Robe. Many tourists stop here to enjoy the view of such an old boat. It was restored. After the war, the boat was bought by a fisherman. It still stands proudly not far from the docks. Worthwhile to see!

When we went to the Visitor Center in Robe, the clerk told us to see the Chinese Monument. We did! 16,500 Chinese landed in Robe in the 1850s. The Chinese headed to other towns. They walked 320 kilometers to find a place. The government asked to pay for each Chinese the sum of 10 ponds. The memorial is about a ten foot high stone with pictures on it about the Chinese. It was interesting and it was worthwhile to see!
