This is a beautiful alternative (or complement) to 17 Mile Drive; much less traffic and still great views any time of day. Take the time for a relaxing walk and you'll be rewarded with serenity.

The oldest operating lighthouse on the West Coast.
Worth the small entrance fee. Very informative / Two very knowledgeable volunteers inside lighthouse to answer any questions you might have. This lighthouse is in great condition. Me and my wife spent about 45 minutes in the lighthouse and walking around the grounds.Bathrooms are available.

We visited to take a photo of St. Mary's by the Sea Episcopal Church in Pacific Grove. I like the historic architecture of the church. The church was founded in 1886 by some Episcopal Women. It is the first church building constructed in Pacific Grove. It was modeled after St Mary's, a church in Bath, England.

We went to the City Hall, which is the government buildings for Pacific Grove. I was impressed by the historic red architecture of the buildings.
