This place is an old northen-style house tuned museum. The former master of the house was an old thai royal called (Chao Fong Kham). The entry fee was only 20 baht per person. The ground floor: On the ground floor under the house, which was bulit on stilit, they demonstrate the production of traditional Lanna textile. They also sing a local song for you. In the house: You can see old rooms such as living room, guests room, and kitchen. Lots of beautiful silver wares were on diaplay. The rooms show where the old master would sleep, eat, or welcome his guest. There were many facinating piece of Lanna culture for you to see, so definitely bring a camera. There was not much else going on other than this but the entry fee was dirt cheap so I would rate it a five stars. Ps. The garden has a unique bell shaped flowers. I wonder what it's called!

So this is a dam cutting off a road through the mountains, a fishing village exists. Some resteraunts, even though it's a national park, beer can be had. Everything is on the north side. There is some very basic accomodation, fan room, shared bathroom, these are floating and rock hard when even the smallest boat goes by, we had to head back to town because my wife gets sea sick but if you don't mind a back packer type bed for the night it would be an interesting experience. Town is only 30 minutes north. A step back in time, a cool experience reminded me of central cambodia. The ferry was easy, 3km to the other side, I think they close between 5pm and 8am, bikes were only 150baht.
