We love boat, paddle steamers and this one was amazing, you have a choice of sitting up stairs or down stairs, you travel the Murray for about 2 hours and go through a lock this was very interesting on how a lock works, the captain was very informative on the trip, they do sell coffee tea sandwiches, and cakes on board they are priced well. You can also buy caps, magnets, tea towels and other items to remember your trip they are also priced really well. A definite must do this trip.

This is a shared path with bikes, pedestrians, dogs, scooters etc. Everyone is very respectful of everyone’s space etc. the cafes along the way are well patronised. The gardens, park area are well kept. A place for enjoyable exercising or not!

We walked from Rio Vista to the Mildura Station Homestead and although we couldn't enter due to COVId-19 restrictions we had plenty to see, walk around and enjoy a slice of Mildura's past and the Chaffey family. Lovely peaceful setting by the river. From there we found our way to the old station cemetery, ( interesting that a few locals who we asked directions had never heard of this very interesting slice of earth.) there is a path amongst the trees behind the homestead for about 200 met, and one comes upon the carved gravestones of the Chaffey family. Well worth seeking out this piece of local history.

We loved doing the Chaffey Trail. Such a vibrant history of the beginnings of irrigation in Mildura. We were so interested as we had followed the Chaffey Brothers in Southern California where they irrigated the desert from the Colorado River so new all about these boys. Its lovely to see Rio Vista still standing.... a gorgeous site. The walk along the river also very good seeing all the different exhibits and the cemetery as well. Well worth doing and very interesting.

I was totally in awe of this place. It is like a little settlement. The buildings have been reconstructed or restored and provide a good look into the towns past. Enjoyed wandering around here. My boys really enjoyed it. It would be great if more signs were up giving you a bit more information about the buildings here.
