Absolutely worth a detour. The viking carvings with many wonderful details are on a large flat stone, hidden in the woods. Look for the explanation sign. You can park nearby and walk in the woods.

Sormlandsgarden is an open-air museum on Djurgarden in Eskilstuna. Here you find buildnings that show a typical inter-Swedish farm in the 19th century. Around it is beautiful nature and nice picknick or walking areas. During the summer you can join and cut sheep, cook in an old way, play old games or say hi to the animals. Open June-August, with activities Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
Open for free guided tours in the summer season. Available to book private tours all year round. Lagersbergs sateri (Lagersbergs manor) is one of Sweden's best-preserved karoliner manors with a history dating back to the Middle-ages. Located about 3 km southwest of Eskilstuna center in Sormland, it offers an exciting history. Summertime, you can enjoy concerts, free guided tours and a cafe.
