Birthplace of poet Dylan Thomas, and the second-largest city in Wales, resilient Swansea offers a slew of leafy parks and some impressive cultural centers, including the new National Waterfront Museum and the renowned Dylan Thomas Centre. Rebuilt after WWII, the modern city of 230,000 has a charming outlook over Swansea Bay and the picturesque, unspoiled 16-mile-long Gower Peninsula, home to rich wildlife, prehistoric standing stones, dramatic cliffs and lovely beaches.

Award winning Salt Marsh Lamb available for purchase here. Sought after by chefs and restauranteers alike, this is a must have product when in South Wales.
I’ve been buying lamb from here for the past few years, in fact awaiting for a delivery now. Delivery is always on time packed so it keeps cold and fresh always gets here the day after its sent. This lamb tastes absolutely amazing, it’s always constant in flavour, which is so different to anything you can buy in supermarkets or butchers. I can’t explain the flavour but it just tastes soooo gooood.

Uplands Market is a monthly street market selling a huge range of Welsh produce from beautiful handmade items to delicious fresh food. It also features the 'Do Not Go Gentle' stage where you can hear poets, musicians and singers. It runs the last Saturday of every month 9am - 1pm. Dates and stall details on website.
I love going to Uplands Market: the range and quality of the products and crafts is always excellent. The atmosphere is also great. Live music and poetry too.

A friendly art gallery with plenty of arty gifts to suit all budgets. We encourage visitors to enjoy creativity of the artists and makers of Wales and maybe take a reminder home with them . Gower Gallery has a continually changing selection of paintings, ceramics, sculptures, and limited edition Giclee prints. Much of the work is inspired by the beautiful coastline of Gower with paintings of iconic views such as Langland, Three Cliffs, Caswell, Oxwich and Rhosilli Bay. We have a large selection of art gifts to suit all budgets. Alongside paintings by Ron Banning and his daughter Arwen Banning, the gallery is home to work by a number of Welsh artists such as Katie Allen, Alastair Elkes Jone, Gareth Thomas, Sian Magill, Jayne Davies and Jane Malvisi as well as artists from around the UK including Michelle Scragg, Christine Cummings, Ostinelli and Priest and Kelly Stewart.

The Glynn Vivian Art Gallery reopened in October 2016, following its major redevelopment generously supported by the Arts Council of Wales, Welsh Government, CADW, HLF and Swansea Council. The project has transformed the Gallery’s original 1911 Grade II* listed building while conserving and celebrating its original character, providing a welcoming, new and refreshed 21st century visitor experience. Following the redevelopment, with additional resources, the Glynn Vivian is aiming to become a centre of excellence for the visual arts a world class gallery for Wales. The Gallery is a vibrant and inspiring free art space for everyone and provides spaces for historical, modern and contemporary art exhibitions, talks, lectures and conferences, live music, performance events and a comfortable and bright café and craft shop area in the heart of Swansea’s bustling artistic quarter.
A lovely art gallery and venue in the city centre with a variety of artwork on display for the public. Visited during a 'Glynn Vivian at night' event, which is where the gallery is open in the evening, first time ever, had a great time.
