A mix of modern copies of vintage styles with true vintage clothing. Was looking for a hat to wear on a special occasion and staff were more than accommodating. Store is sectioned by era, and a treat to browse or shop. Definitely on my go to list for shopping next trip. Items were reasonably priced.

We are makers, creating ceramic sculpure and functional pottery. There are eight working studios and another 22 ceramic artists featured in the Gallery. As craftsman and artists we are committed to the cultivation of a ceramic community in the heart of RVA. Explore our offerings of unique handcrafted ceramics from these local and regional artists. We are easy to find, in the heart of Shockoe Bottom, right up the street from the Main Street Train station. The building was vacant for over 20 years and is now fully renovated. The Gallery opened in December 2015. Within walking distance is Church Hill, Tobacco Row, the canal walk, the James River, the Capital Trail, Poe's Museum and many restaurants.

When I first moved to Richmond I chose an apartment close to my job located in the Arts District. I enjoy the ability to walk to such great restaurants such as Saison (and Saison market), Perly's Deli, Bar Solita, Fatty Smokes, Maxs and Tarrants. As the neighborhood has expanded and added in the RVA Bike Share program and the GRTC Pulse line, this has made traversing the area so convenient. I'm able to watch to shows at The National, VA Rep, Carpenter Theater, Theater Lab and Altria while being immersed in eclectic art galleries. First Fridays art walk and Broad Appetite happen right outside my door and new businesses keep opening up, offering much more to see and do! Highly recommend the arts district for dining, arts, shopping and nightlife!

Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) adjoins the historic Fan District in Richmond, where my American cousins live. It is a relatively young university, though it has a large student body. VCU has good academic reputation, especially in the arts.
