Overlooking the Strait of Magellan, this isolated city in southern Patagonia bustles with windswept trekkers en route to glacier-filled Torres del Paine National Park or an Antarctic cruise. Before transiting, take note of the mansion-lined main square, Plaza Muñoz Gamero; the City Cemetery, with its elaborate tombs; and the Sara Braun Palace and Braun Menendez Residence, a preserved slice of the city's wealthy pioneer past. Daily flights connect the city with Santiago and Ushuaia.

Contemporary art gallery and a shop with a Patagonia and Antarctic inspired original art and design objects, books, author jewellery displayed in recovered house of 1901.
A wonderful gallery featuring local artists. The owner was there when we visited and she was able to tell us about each artist, their materials, and their story. A great place to pick up art or handmade items.

We highly recommend a visit to this wonderful boutique chocolate shop. The chocolatier is delightful and her chocolates are superb. The exquisite truffles range from classical flavours such as rum and ginger to creative combinations such and strawberry and basil, and then to flavours showcasing unique Patagonian ingredients. We loved them all. Her milk chocolate is wonderful and her dark chocolate with ginger the most delicious we have ever tasted.

Small independent brewery. Have about 6 types of beer which they brew on-site in limited quantity. They also have in their show cases beer from around the world but not sure if it's for sale. A very pretty and interesting place to visit. You cannot drink on site but there are benches a few minutes walk along the seafront where you could possibly sit and enjoy your beer. Not a beer drinker but loved the stout!!! hey also sell things like t-shirts.
