Artists, farmers, scholars and professionals come together in harmony in beautiful Northampton, where the Connecticut River winds through the wooded hills of the Pioneer Valley. Once home to such diverse notables as U.S. president Calvin Coolidge, abolitionist Sojourner Truth, author Kurt Vonnegut and punk rockers Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore, and current home of the all women's Smith College, the city is famed for its arts scene and liberal values, plus a thriving lesbian community.

Raven Used Books is the first place I head to when I visit. It is my absolute favourite shop in Northampton. I could easily spend 1-2 hours there. They have a dollar rack outside and many treasures on the inside. There are several nooks and crannies in the store. Just when you think you have reached the end of the shop, there is another corner and more book shelves. It is a book lovers paradise, a must for anyone who loves to read.

A cool Candy Store with a Superhero theme. Over 100 bins of bulk candy and many of the oldies you'll remember from your child hood.
