New Zealand (/njuːˈziːlənd/ ( listen); Māori: Aotearoa [aɔˈtɛaɾɔa]) is an island country in the southwestern Pacific Ocean. This is the second time I have been to Sculptureum. I was equally if not more impressed than I was 3 years ago. The gardens are spectacular and the artwork and sculptures nestle into the gardens beautifully, creating a peaceful and reflective space to wander through. This trip was extra special for my daughters and me as the owner took us under his wing while we meandered through the artwork inside. It was an absolute treat to have Anthony delve into the history of some of the pieces, why he had chosen them, show us the newest pieces in the collection as well as give us some history and insight into the artists. How special and absolutely memorable! We are so fortunate in this part of the world to have such a stunning private collection of art and sculpture available to be enjoyed by all. Highly recommended.

Provocative and straight forward art. Specially recommended to remove the blindfold of closed-minded religious/puritan/right wing individuals. Amazing ways of expressionism, definitely a piece of kiwi art I will remember and suggest, right in the heart of Nelson. My south american wild mind was delighted with the various sculptures, paintings and glass works. They have done a great job.

Being a sculptur myself I was very interesting in the Maori art and the making of it. The institute shows you in depth the way the art is being made. Many is for sale. We talked to various artists and I even started making my own Maori art.

We spent over three hours in this beautifully presented modern Art Gallery, as there was plenty to see, and entry is free. I loved the sailing paintings upstairs, by van der Voorden. He really knew how to portray clouds and waves. The highlight for me was the Ron Mueck silicon sculpture of a man at a table. What brilliant attention to detail (that's real hair). Thank you staff for being so helpful too! If you need a break, there is a lovely restaurant at the entrance, or it is a short stroll to Riverside Markets, which is also well worth a visit. Don't miss this excellent Art Gallery when you next visit Christchurch.

What an incredible spot every corner you turn just takes your breath away, how people can comment that the entrance fee is too pricey is beyond us, it’s just incredible and photos don’t do it justice.

Really cool! Great diverse range of stalls. Lots of local food and crafts. Good way to spend a Saturday morning. Heads up to some great strawberries from Blenheim we bought there, delicious!!

This is just what a great local market should be. It's not huge but the stalls are high on quality. Plenty of food, drink, coffee, plants, arts and crafts, plus live music to keep you entertained. A real positive is that all the stalls I bought from have the facilities to pay by plastic.
