Maybe you're not an Olympian, but if you're looking for a top-notch winter sports destination, Lake Placid is the place for you. Try bobsledding, downhill skiing, ice climbing, speed skating or even ski jumping, or just enjoy shopping in the town's boutiques and warming up in one of the many restaurants. But Lake Placid isn't just a winter wonderland. Beautiful Adirondack State Park, which is larger than Yosemite or Yellowstone National Parks, offers year-round outdoor activities.

The only Wine & Liquor and Cigar & Beer Shops on Lake Placid's Main Street! Featuring the Adirondack's only Walk-In Humidor. The Smoking Cork: Considered a boutique style Wine & Spirits shop, it's our goal to offer a unique and personalized beverage retail experience. Featuring hand picked wine & liquor selections from a majority of small production wineries & distilleries - ultimately providing an alternative to the ever present warehouse-style liquor stores. Stouts & Stogies: The only store of it's kind in the Adirondack Park; offering premium cigars, a distinctive craft beer selection, micro-brew fill station, specialty foods, and locally made gifts and artwork. Private orders and consulting are one of the many services we offer. Our unique products and quality of customer service set us apart - with a hands-on approach, we provide customers with knowledgeable recommendations and information that add a level of confidence when making purchases - taking the guess work out of the vast world of alcoholic beverages and cigars. The most important factor when deciding what products to carry is not the name or current advertising hype - it is the taste, craftsmanship, and value that matter most!

Visited Saturday 1/23 to grab some of our favorite basil infused olive and compliments to the young man that assisted us. Ended up getting some lemon infused white balsamic vinegar and premium white balsamic vinegar. Then saw some biscottis that are amazing! Definitely we’d to stop in if you’re in Lake Placid!!

If your travels are bringing you to the Lake Placid area or shoot, from anywhere in the Adirondacks it's worth the drive! We travel to the Adirondacks at least 5 times a year and EVERY time we travel to the area we are SURE to visit Chris and Stephen at The Adirondack Store at the top of the hill just before you descend into Lake Placid! They have EVERYTHING Adirondacks! AMAZING one of a kind and Rare antiques perfect for decorating your "lodge" with a piece of history from the Adirondacks. Many UNIQUE keepsakes and new decorator items, and ps...they even have a top notch decorator and interior design team! One of a kind pieces of artwork, and they are even carrying custom artwork by Adirondack renowned artist Barney Bellinger! Best of all is the knowledge, charm, and fun of talking and dealing with the owners Stephen and Chris! A MUST stop to the Adirondacks and Lake Placid area to buy that perfect keepsake or even just to browse the selection and decor! It was my 11 year old daughters birthday while we took our last trip through and even with a full store of customers, Stephen took the time to personally gift wrap an adorable "Maileg Mice" gift we found there for her...thank you so much!! Stop in...you wont be disappointed.
