Lovely little village shop, everything you need, we arrived on the Thursday, just needed something for tea, got lovely gluten free sausages for my husband as he has coeliac, and a vegetarian option for my daughter, very nice lady who comes from the same area as us! Lovely little jams and marmalade’s to take home for friends. We will be back. Thank you.

Our range then includes artisan cheeses made in Lancashire, including Butlers Farm (makers of Blengdale Blue and Cobble Tasty), and Sandham’s (makers of the ever-popular Sandham’s Creamy and Sandham’s Crumbly). From Yorkshire, we have an extensive range of cheeses from The Hawes Wensleydale Creamery; including their fantastic Wensleydale Blue.
Great selection of local cheese, great knowledge from staff who was so happy to help us pick our cheeses. Lovely cheese boards and knives. Local honey that I’m excited to try!

Located right in the heart of the Market Square, Ye Olde Friars has long been one of Keswick's iconic shops. Spread across four shop fronts and with over 1000 lines including chocolates, sweets, gifts and preserves, Friars is a must visit.
There's something about Ye Olde Friars that brings out the child in me! Chocolate...bags of sweets...biscuits etc etc. I simple cannot walk past this shop and judging by the number of people inside, many other people can't resist either. The speciality chocolates are certainly on a par with the best makes around and there's all manner of things with chocolate. In addition, there are boxes of biscuits, jams, pickles and of course the famous Cumberland rum butter. Well, it's only once a year and the diet can wait just a few more days! Get in there and be a kid again!

Visit our store in Keswick, shop online or give us call ... for outdoor, climbing, walking and camping equipment. We have huge stocks of waterproof jackets and pants, boots, ice axes, all kinds of travel accessories, maps, books, rucksacks, backpacking, trekking and mountaineering gear ... and at great prices.
Fishers is one of the few constant features of Keswick retail. I I used to go with mum and dad in the 60'S and can still fell some of the same atmosphere it had back then. They do things well, even though that comes at a price. They have an excellent , well presented range with good size distribution. The assistants know what they're talking about and are not all "saturday staff." The cafe was pretty good but its some time since I went. The ski dept. looks impressive but I dont ski so... Price is an issue though. I think much of the offer is cheaper in Keswick elsewhere and if you internet shop then there is not much of a comparison. However, if you value service and tradition then Fisher's is very able to supply that in spades.
