Gallery of Steel Figures is an interactive and original exhibition in the centre of Prague. Our steel figures are inspired by characters from cartoons, sci-fi, fantasy, fairytales, pop culture as well as animals and hits from the automotive world. You can touch, climb in and sit on all the figurines and of course, take pictures with your favourite superheroes or childhood friends. And the good part is, all exhibits are made from recycled steel parts! Which means, we managed to make scrap and metal waste into art! We exhibit over 100 figures on 1200 m² and two floors in a beautiful art noveau building in the historical centre of Prague. If you get tired, you can rest at our café on the 1st floor and have a cup of coffee, homemade lemonade or a delicious fresh pizza. We also offer a large selection of original souvenirs for you to bring back home. We hope to welcome you soon!
This is a really fun, hands-on gallery of life sized metal sculptures including cars, bikes, movie and cartoon characters. They let you sit and climb and pose with everything including the Iron Throne and Thor’s hammer. This is definitely the most fun I’ve had in a gallery maybe ever. I’d imagine kids would love this.

If you want to visit Narodni Gallery Praha you need to know in advance what you want to see because there are several locations. We chose to visit Trade Fair Palace. It's a little far from the city centre and the hotel where we were staying, but we got there easily using the tram. The building that houses the museum was built in the early 20th century and rebuilt with difficulty after a massive fire in 1974. The interior space has wide openings and an indoor elevator, overlooking this space, connects the floors. Collections are organized very professionally, during periods and current, offering the public works from the mid-1700s to the present. It was a delight to discover the outstanding works of many Czech artists that I did not know about until this visit. When we visited the Galleries, a temporary exhibition was dedicated to Alberto Giacometti. It was a real privilege to admire so many of the artist's creations gathered in one place. For art lovers, Narodni Galerie Gallery is an outstanding place.

Troja Château echoes the opulent Roman suburban villas and thanks to its location and vast gardens offers easily reachable rest from the hectic city centre. The construction of the early Baroque château began in 1679 and the project was executed by an architect of French origin, Jean Baptiste Mathey. The sculptural decoration of the two-armed staircase leading to the garden was entrusted to the Dresden artists Georg and Paul Hermanns. This monumental sculptures symbolize the Titans fighting the Classical gods, allegories of periods of the day and year and allegories of continents. The Flemish painters Abraham and Isk Godyns were summoned to execute the illusive decoration of the large main hall. Troja Château and its gardens also hosts short-term exhibitions of contemporary art which are adapted to the specific character of the space.

What a wonderful way to experience the smells and tastes of Prague along the beautiful Vltava river. The size of the market is perfect for spending two hours visiting food stalls and craft vendors late Saturday morning. Why late am? Come for lunch and try the hot mulled wine, selections of typical Czech food like kolache, many kinds of pork, Grundl, goulash and more. Bonus for cookie lovers: one of the stalls is from Gingerbread PERNÍČKŮV.delcious gingerbread and other specialities. I found some beautiful (and irresistible) handmade Crochet and bead work from Irenka L. (Instagram Limetka.art). I got a Crocheted metallic thread necklace with pearls and some earrings for myself as well as some earrings for a friend. Pictured below is the necklace paired with another of my Clay Pot, NYC necklaces. Another interesting vendor was a yak yarn stall. Hopefully others can post more to entice you to visit. This shot of the Vltava was taken on my iPhone 6s as we left the market.

The concept of the ,,Gallery to play" is the most important part of the Písek Sladovna programme. Exhibits and programmes of the Gallery to play are primarily designed for children and ,,their" adults where children meet art and art meets children. However, the works of art are purposefully open to direct interaction with visitors, so that children and adults alike can touch everything, get inside art installations, play with their framework and sometimes even enter the stories and experience them. Just like entering a computer game: in the Gallery to play you can enter a story and play in the real world, together with others, again, here and now. We believe that ,,play - here and now - together with real children and adults" is the basic and most natural quality that our children need to acquire in today's world of endless possibilities of the virtual reality.

For a well deserved coffee break after visiting the castle we found the place without looking for it, nor reading the TA TA references. That was a good choice. Fresh, home made cakes, delicious coffees and, smiling waitresses. Decoration is simple but cost. I like places where they do not pretend being anything else. After the huge disappointment of Atmosferá (read my reference), finding Galerie Cafe had been very pleasant. Thank you! You made our day ????

Lot of stores, huge grocery store (Hypermarket Albert) big cinema including one screen with special 4Dx technology, huge food court with countless options (indian, KFC, McDonald, Lebanese, Mexican, Czech, vegan etc.) At this moment most of the stores (and cinema) are closed due to Covid restrictions. The mall follows all Covid measures perfectly while still allowing for pleasant shopping experience
