The Ballard Sunday Farmer’s Market is huge! It has three entrances and takes up part of two streets south of Market Street. There must be about 8 blocks total, with stalls back-to-back in the street. I was not hungry, but I bought two delicious cookies to enjoy later. Only in a NW farmer’s market would you see such unique stands: organic raw sheep’s or goat’s milk, a stand that sells flavored kale chips, organic eggs from every kind of fowl imaginable, organic and gluten-free pet food and treats made from vegetables, every kind of organic vegetable or fruit or meat, stands that specialize in wild mushrooms or clams, organic honeys and jams, an entire stand that sells organic flavored sauerkraut, etc. I spent a very enjoyable couple of hours enjoying this market. If I lived in the area, I would definitely shop at the market.
