Maryland is known as “America in Miniature” because of its great variations in topography and culture. This makes it a perfect east coat travel destination for those who would like to experience a little bit of everything. From amusement parks, to beaches, to mountains and historical sites, there is plenty to see and do. Each region of Maryland provides its own unique and fun activities to do. If you're headed for some fun in the sun in Ocean City on its eastern coast, be sure not to miss the Ocean City Beach, the Boardwalk, or Trimper's Rides and Amusement Park for an all-ages fun experience. Central Maryland is home to a Six Flags theme park, the Annapolis Golf Club, and countless hubs of art and culture such as the African Art Museum and Annapolis Opera, Inc. Heading to western Maryland? It is perfect for lovers of nature and the outdoors, with the Washington Monument State Park, Wisp Resort ski slopes, and the spectacular Muddy Creek Falls.

I went here with a group of friends after another range in Rockville turned us away. The entire staff at the Machine Gun Nest are super friendly, welcoming and not at all condescending to newbies who are interested and excited to shoot for the first time. We arrived with for people who have never shot at all, two mid-level and one experienced shooter. It was exactly the fun and exciting but also safe environment we were hoping for. We interacted with several different staff members over the course of our time there and each one was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The space is clean and well designed, allows for efficient training, and has ample selection of different kinds of guns to rent (and buy?). They have fun Merch available as well, which I was happy to buy as a momento to honor this awesome first experience at a shooting range. (It helped that I ended up being a pretty good shot too! ????) Their motto is: “changing peoples minds about guns one experience at a time” and they absolutely live up to it.

It has been a long time since I've shot sporting clays, so I took my step-son down for a morning shoot on Black Friday. We had a blast. We shoot quite a bit at a local range with a hand thrower so we were a little humbled with all of the looks. Luckily everyone at the club house and on the course were super pleasant and friendly. We watched some experienced shooters hit and miss (which helped our crushed egos) and it gave us something to look forward to on our next outing. I highly recommend coming down for shoot and enjoy your day. With the limits on waterfowl hunting this year, we may spend our money shooting clays.

Overall good experience with Freestate. Have bought weapons, fired at the range, and taken classes with their instructors and can say the instructors were fantastic, both in their knowledge & technique/skill AND in their ability to convey a practical application of those skills to varying levels of students. Well done gents!

Been living in Carroll County 15 years, most of those using this range to teach my kids, and friends how to shoot, and gun safety. Pretty basic range, no shopping area, no cool t-shirts for sale, and simple accommodations.......perfect for a shooting range. Need targets? They sell them. No ammo for sale. Very good range employees that keep you safe from newbies, or careless behavior. Windy days the pistol range targets can blow side to side. Long gun range is up to 200 yards. Check the website for hours and days available to the public, since the police I believe use it Mondays & Tuesdays.

I took my wife for her birthday, my daughter and her boyfriend and I. We brought some of our own guns, 357, 22, 40, and a 38. The staff was absolutely amazing , helpful and super eager to show the women exactly how to shoot as they have not shot many times. They offered up many guns for the girls to try and we had a blast. Shot all sorts of paper targets which we named from our past and just had one hell of good time!!!! Cant wait to go back and now the girls are in training for their carry permits !!!!

Local indoor range, with fair prices, good helpful staff, reasonable selection for sale. Most notable is the staff who will help with firearms, ammo selection and simply all around good for advice and guidance.
Similar to laser tag and paintball, tactical airsoft arena is an indoor arena for combat simulation games such as team deathmatch, capture the flag, etc. using "airsoft" guns, which fire pellets from replica weapons.
