Heading back from Topsham ME Highland games we stopped in Falmouth, ME for some tasty seafood. The restaurant boasts steaks and seafood, but the grilled tuna was amazing. Dockside has beautiful views, and friendly food servers. Eat at the bar and enjoy yourself. Fried calamari app was amazing.

Our hotel recommended this place. It was ok. Service at the bar area was super slow. Finally after waiting 15 min, a gentleman finally took our order. I got the seafood chowder which was good and hubby got lobster roll, meh. Itâs conveniently located across from the LL Bean main store.Good day, I want to thank you for taking the time to write in, and on behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for your experience with us. The Lobster Cooker is located in the heart of Freeport's shopping district just two blocks from L.L. Bean. Join us for fresh seafood in the Downeast Maine tradition. Dine in our historic 1860 barn or bask on our sun drenched garden patio. Relax in our Spo
As a non seafood eater, I am always hesitant to eat at a predominantly seafood restaurant because very often the non-seafood options are limited and prepared as an afterthought! Not so at the Lobster Cooker, while my podcast partner enjoyed the lobster bisque and fish and chip platter, I was able to thoroughly enjoy a portobello mushroom sandwich that was excellent. The mushroom was well marinated and the french fries were hand cut and made from local potatoes. They have both counter service for a quick meal and table service (which we found to be quick as well). Our bartender/server recommended an excellent local beer from the Maine Beer Company and was very informative and friendly with all of our questions.

We went for dinner with some friends, who were delighted to see the atmosphere of these small restaurant inside the hotel. The starters were really nice, especially the lobster crepe, and the mains also. We loved our lobster! And also the desserts were really good. Nothing to complain about, nice setting, nice food, prices average for what you order.

We were recommended this restaurant by the hotel and I am sure this is not a bad place but having had some fantastic meals in Maine, this was not near the top of the list. We are at lunchtime and were able to be seated quickly, outside on a lovely day. Service was quick and attentive but the food was only ok. I was quite disappointed with my calamari. Really chewy, have had far better, I think it was just a bad choice as my husbands food was better. The position of the restaurant was good, on the edge of the outlet shopping on Maine Street,

Located two blocks north of L.L.Bean at 162 Main Street, Freeport Maine. The Broad Arrow Tavern is located inside the Harraseeket Inn.
Every time we go, it is superb. The service is top notch and the menu diverse. The brick oven pizzas and mac and cheese are so delicious that it is tough to resist. Did I mention the home baked breads and desserts?! Wow.Thank you! We hope to see you again soon! The Gray family

There are surprisingly few options for eating when strolling the shops of Freeport. Jameson is conveniently located, has some charm, and has long waits. The greeter was a little surly, and I actually felt sorry for her as she was busy in a restaurant with a frenetic mid-day pace. If there had been other options, I probably wouldn't have waited the 30+ minutes for a seat, especially since we had 2 children. However, had the weather have cooperated we could have waited just outside and that would have made the time seem much less. he food was simply "okay". I'd say the chowder was excellent, but the other meals our group of 6 had were all good, not outstanding. The calamari was a nice shared appetizer. The lobster roll a little pricey and a little disappointing. If you aren't time rushed and/or just want to sit for a while, eat okay seafood with prices that are just a little high, then this place fits the bill.

Having read the reviews for Harraseeket I can only report how we found things. We came across this restaurant completely by accident, the place was full and busy by the side of the harbour we decided to give it a try two nights later. I had the seafood plater, my wife had the prime organic cheese burger both delicious. The table sitting behind us were certainly all local ladies.

Visiting Freeport for a few days and after a day of outlet shopping wanted a dinner close to our hotel. Their chips for appertizers were good. Dinners were ok. Ordered fried shrimp and disappointed that they were very small but the price was not. Fried scallops were small but tasted ok. Nice bar area. Sat by the windows but not nice scenery. We appreciate your feedback, Ann.We strive to offer our guests quality service and delicious food. However, it's unfortunate that your time with us was anything less than perfect. We'll be addressing your concerns with the appropriate members of our team. We'd love to see you again in the future to share a more positive experience with you.

The menu here is hit or miss. You can get some dishes that are very good and you can get some dishes that you want to throw at the chef. Service is spotty at the bar. The barrel chairs are extraordinarily uncomfortable in the lounge area near the bar, but a real boon to chiropractors. Great view and outdoor seating, but for several summers in a row now, much of the outdoor deck was not open because they said they didnât have enough staff. This place used to be incredible, but now you taking your chances with the food. That said itâs a nice atmosphere, and occasionally you will hit it right with the menu. Overpriced.Hello,My sincere apologies for the missteps in service and the quality of food. We always strive for excellence and appreciate guest feedback as it helps us improve. Consistency is important to us and I'd love the opportunity to talk to you directly for any additional feedback. My direct email is: [email protected] you for your time.
