The livable, lovable city of Xiamen teems with university students buzzing amid Buddhist temples, art galleries and beautiful parks. My girlfriend and I have lived in Xiamen for 5 months and unfortunately we found this place too late before going home, so we only went there once. All what we ordered was so tasty. We felt exactly like sitting in Spain eating tapas.

I lived in Xiamen in the late 90's. What a change. Although there have always been great restaurants in Xiamen, the Meridien Restaurant takes great dining to another level. For one, the hotel and grounds are world class. As for the food, we went when only a buffet was offered. So, I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. All the food seemed like it was prepared to order, rather than buffet food. The variety was great, with western food, traditional chinese food and even some japanese. The wine selection was also very good.

The quality and presentation of the food is beautiful. The taste is truly amazing, nothing overpowers any individual item. I'm a huge fan of the beef and cashew nut. Whilst they don't have a Rosé wine, the white from New Zealand is superb. Restaurant doesn't seem to be overly busy but I appreciate the friendly serviceThere may be cheaper places but you get what you pay for.I would recommend you try.I am happy you enjoyed the food and service experience were what you expected and deserve. We appreciate your time in sharing with us your experience.

A Wonderful Dim Sum Restaurant
This is absolutely my family's favorite restaurant. The dim sum is a must! The seafood is fresh and tasty. It's advisable to call ahead and make a reservation. That way, you don't have to wait too long to get a table.

Hanyu pinying for Small Glasses seafood restaurant is 'Xiao-Yen-Chin' seafood restaurant. The taxi driver drove us to the branch store at Wan-Jia-Tongfung branch instead of the main store at Hubin Middle road which is usually very packed. The new store was also crowded but at least no need to wait for seats. The restaurant is big with 2 floors and fully air-conditioned. Seafood tanks and selections/orders are located on the ground floor. So for convenient , it is wise to be seated on the ground floor. Seafood are very fresh here and the cooking is excellent. Except for the 2 flower crabs which cost us RMB-110, all the other items were inexpensive and some very cheap. Also do not forget to order the Fujian-style fried noodles --- very delicious.Service-wise- was not up to expectation, maybe because the restaurant were very busy and lack of manpower. Other than this little setback, it's a thump-up for this seafood restaurant.

Another restaurant with rave reviews in TA. The place and place were everything like the review had said--very popular restaurant offering good quality and cheap priced seafood frequented primarily by local Chinese tourists. My suggestion:1. Go there early (before 6 pm) to avoid the crowd.2. The shop was hidden in a small side lane off the main road, and difficult for access because of current construction work of metro line. It was around the section of Hu Bin Zhong Lu in between He Xiang Xi Lu and Xia He Lu. 2 minutes walk from He Xiang Xi Lu along Hu Bin Zhong Lu towards the south and following the traffic direction.3. Get a seat on the upper floor, it was much cleaner, better airconditioned, much less chaotic. The ground floor was semi open air, small, and there were fish tanks and crowd of people walking by for order. 4. Stick to simple and commonly available and lower-priced fishes like shrimps, clams, crabs, or even abalone etc., because while the fishes were fresh they were not of top qualities. Way of cooking was really limited: fry, steam, a or blanched. 5. Order small portions and many different types if not in a big group. Try to order everything at one go, repeated order would take time and even ignored. 6. English was barely used so just go to the fish tank, point at the fishes you want, mention you table number, and wait at your seat for 5 minutes your food would come. 7. Prepare some cash, credit card was not accepted. One needed to go to 2nd floor to pay at the cashier.8. USD 10-15 per head would be a good budget to start with. My wife and I paid about USD 30 for 7 dishes which included small crayfish, clams, crab, abalone, vegetable, and Chinese pancake with shredded spring onion and carrots. Worth a try and it could be great fun and low price.
Good choice of various dishes, I love the two Pizzas they offer, especially the squid dough one: Extremely tasty! They always have at least two kinds of freshly squeezed juice. For those who love soy milk, they use soy beans to make it right in front of you, couldnât be more fresh. Another highlight is that they can brew you one latte with the milk foam showing a photo of yourself! The environment of the restaurant should be the best among all hotels in Xiamen right now: Many plants like sitting outside in a garden, an open kitchen next to the buffet so that you can stand right next to the chef while he is cooking your dish. A great experience! We will go there again and recommend to everyone.Dear Valued Guest (StephanMH),Thank you very much for your detailed sharing of dining experience and I am delighted to know that you had a most memorable time in our All Day Dining. We pride ourselves as the restaurant serving the freshest of ingredients to all our valued customers and I shall certainly pass on your kind feedback to or culinary team. Please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected] if I can be of any assistance to you and I look forward to welcoming you back on another journey of culinary delights.Best regards,Richard Hng
