Not a great location. Friendly hosts, great quality of food. Exceptional wine menu, a lot of very original wines. Simple interior decoration with poor acoustics. Disappointing detail: ordering the 4 course surprise menu being charged â¬7,5 extra for one vegetarian guest, and next snack serving foie gras to the vegetarian??

We had dinner yesterday evening here.We chose the innovation menu, 7 different courses. It is really impressing how many ideas the chef has, association of different tastes. If you are interested in innovative cuisine you should go there. Also wine card and service are excellent.Thank you, weâll come back !

Go easy on the salt though please, our food was VERY salted. I do admit that lunch at 12⬠is a nice deal.

Restaurant Het Houtvuur offers an excellent cuisine of fish (sole) and meat (Cote à L'os) at very reasonable prices. Service is rather slow.

Obviously less experienced reviewers made us visit this place. Cozy interior, good location. Welcome and service were cold and distant. The bouillabaisse in my view was too heavy due to the small gray shrimp and the salmon which are not traditional ingredients. The chef tried something original but did not convince me. After all, not that cheap for a bistro. Service is restaurant speed, not bistro speed. Reconceptualize this place, guys!

We decided to try this restaurant based on previous reviews on Tripadvisor. Nice location and façade, warm welcome and friendly service. But the interior decoration looks disorganized and sloppy. What is this pile of newspapers doing in the middle of a room that pretends to belong to the better dining establishments in the city? The price/quality ratio is more than acceptable. But the beef tagliata (compare that with Bleu Blanc!) and the tagliatelle with scampi and green asparagus (I can cook this at home) did not completely convince us. Nor did the house wine.

Wonderful, we came here 3 nights for dinner. The fish is wonderful; everything from the kitchen was great quality. The service is friendly and professional. A great find. We were able to arrive early for dinner; otherwise you might need a reservation. Say hello to Steve, a great waiter and nice guy.

Good location and nice interior decoration. But: 28 euros for a salad? Service very slow after all. Quite disappointing. You have to deserve your clients, guys ....Dear Sir, I regret you did not like your second visit. According to the service, we do not present ourselves as a restaurant for a quick lunch, dinner or salad. People come here to enjoy their noon or evening in a relaxed way. There are enough other restaurants in town for a quick bite. According to the price, I think you ate a salad with 200 grams of pata negra or a thick slice of foie gras, as these are the only salads we have on our menu. If you ever bought one of these high quality products for yourself, I think you will see that 28 euros is more than acceptable. In addition, prices are always listed outside, so you always know in advance what you will pay and will never be suprised. Nevertheless, we hope to welcome you soon in our cosy restaurant and will do our utmost best to offer you a good service and meal.

Know as a businessrestaurant but also a place that feels like home coming. Enjoy the french classic kitchen, with also some japanese dishes like Sushi, Sashimi and Tempura. Enjoy these Japanese dishes while your friends have a steak or stew next to you. S
Some friends took us to Hobos and we had a wonderful timeThe menu is extensive and covers most tastes, and the wine list is really good and the staff very friendly and attentive. We had starters and a main meal and everything we had was well cooked, presented beautifully and tasted fantastic. We went on a Tuesday night and nearly every table was full which says a lot about a restaurant. The evening passed by very quickly, we had just a great time and for sure we will return

Great location, great food and wine experience, perfect service ... at a reasonable price (during the week) for 4 courses dinner, paired wines, champagne aperitif and 2 half liter bottles of sparking water 120 ⬠p.p. My 2cents : currently best foodie place around Kortrijk and Waregem. Well done !
