Family run in a decorated room with objects, paintings and murals representing traditional hunting swordfish and tuna. Intimate, pleasant and friendly, where the cuisine is very local with fresh seasonal fish and regional wines.
Looking for a great fish restaurant, donât go anywhere else!Plenty of fish restaurants in Calabria but this in my opinion is the best.Hard to pick a favourite dish the scampi, mixed grilled fish and the seafood pasta are all to die for!

Just around the corner from the main square but a world of difference from the mass market restaurants in the square. This small restaurant offers top class cooking, service and wine. It's slightly more expensive but worth seeking out.

The restaurant's views could not be beat. Situated right on the beach, both lunch and dinner offered a beautiful view (we went for both). The air was fresh and the water was crystal clear. Very professional service. The meal was exquisite. From appetizer to dessert, everything tasted fresh and delicious. Highly recommended!

This place was a buzz! Totally full of locals and busy busy busy. Great food, crowded, very local Italian atmosphere. Little or barely any English spoken but menu in Italian and English so you can point to the items or the great display of food in the glass counters. We had dinner for 4 with local wine and beers for â¬60! Food fine, nothing fancy but good size portions, fast and very tasty! It you go in earlier around 7 pm the service is better before all the locals arrive with families, kids, grandparents etc and then it's noisy and seems a total mess, but they seem to cope well. Tips: try their local house wine by the carafe, or 1/2, good and reasonably priced, and their homemade Lemoncello. For a great family type Italian meal and very consistent you can't go wrong by this great little family run eatery. Tables outside also in summer! Walking distance fromThe Marina on the promenade. You won't be disappointed. We could say cheap and cheerful!

We came here twice during our week staying near Pizzo...we tend to look for an agriturismo as (in our experience) its where you get the best, freshest and most mouth watering grub. This place is off the beaten track, full of locals and itâs amazing. Go for the Antipasti âLe Quattro Stagioniâ to sample the local delights. The primi are all delicious....especially the prawn and pistachio pasta. And the steak is cooked to perfection. Great wine and perfect service. The unbelievable view of the sun setting is the icing on the cake.

Had a great lunch in Pizzo at Pepe Nero. The owners were there, very involved and paying attention to everyone on the terrace. The âgeneralâ was clearly the Mother of the young guys and the entertainer was clearly the Father. The boys were friendly amd great as well but tou could feel the 40y of experience of their parents. The father used to be a fisherman and used to bring himself the catch of the day.Very very tasty food, very warm place and authentic. Love it!

I visited here last week whilst holidaying in nearby Pizzo. My partner has eaten here a few times previously, however this was my first time and from his recommendation we decided to eat here on our last night. What a great decision! The restaurant has a lovely outdoor balcony setting, and the staff (family) were very friendly. The service was good, and the food was even better. There is quite an extensive menu so we took a while deciding what to order, but everything that arrived was cooked freshly, and tasted delicious. The wine was very good also (and extremely cheap for a 1/2 litre)! I will definitely be visiting here again on my next trip to Pizzo and would recommend this to anyone. With so much choice there is something for everyone on the menu.

We had two dinners one for seafood and one for pizza. On Friday evening it was funny Italian karaoke show. All meals and pizza were delicious. Staff and service were excellent and helpful. I hope to come back one time again

From the outside, we thought this restaurant would be a simple restaurant, but when we went in we were impressed by the decor, including rugs in the dining room off the courtyard. A silver tray of six or more regional olive oils and vinegars was brought to the table and then a selection of fresh warm bread brought to us. The service is definitely "silver service", the food was excellent and the dessert interesting. At the end of dinner, a huge thunderstorm meant that we were caught in L'Approdo but it finally cleared. The waiter asked if he could get his car and take us back to the port. That was such a kind gesture, we were pleased with the offer but had eaten so well that we thought it best to have a short walk back. Excellent experience.

We were on vacations with our family in Calabria and causally bumped into this gem this Easter. Chef Guiseppe provides a delightful atmosphere in a tastefuly decorated restaurant. We had a 5 Course menu with exquisite local wine and fresh seafood. We were treated like royalty and had a meal fit for kings. The ingredient combinations of one of our dishes was fennel and licorice...creative, unexpected and simply delicious.I would highly recommend this establishment to food connosseurs who enjoy splurging on succulent food.
