We had dinner at Christian's on July 3rd. It was our second visit there and both of them have been extraordinary. The food, the wine and the desserts were absolutely top notch. The staff was excellent also. There was a young lady at the front door who appeared to be handling all the reservations, but whenever she was not busy she would come by and fill our water, take our plates when we were done and she even checked with us to make sure we were happy with our meals. She was not a waitress but she was keeping an eye on the front door and all the customers at the same time. All the staff seemed to take an interest in all the customers not just the ones they were serving. The young lady at the front was just that much more noticeable because she wasn't one of the waitrons. It is not very often you see a place where the staff is seamless and works as one. It is a very well run restaurant. Everything was exquisite and we will be back, hopefully soon!!

Temporarily closed due to renovations. Family owned and operated since 1985, Barcellos Family Restaurant has been a fixture in the community for over 25 years. We strive to serve the public great food at reasonable prices. Our goal is to provide a family
We frequent Barcellos often. It seems they have developed this extra fees style. For the most part food has always been good. Now it seems for the slightest change there are additional fees. Last evening I had a Portuguese steak which always comes with peppers and an egg on top as part of the entrée. I was asked if I wanted the egg on top of my steak and I said yes. I got charged $.75 more for that egg which is normally there - no extra fee. One other time we ordered soda and it was flat and almost tasteless. We complain to the waitress and she went to the back to the owner and he supposedly checked out the machine said there was nothing wrong. We Ended up with water and still paid for two sodas that were no good. This seems to Barcellos new style.

Iâm kind of surprised this place is still open, because it was nothing to write home about. Sure, you can sit by the water while you wait forever for your name to be called over the loudspeaker. But depending on âmarket priceâ, you might be paying $26.00 for a lobster roll that consists of a plain, untoasted bun with a small, plain blob of lobster plopped inside. Clam cakes appeared to have very little clam inside. I will say the calamari was good, but I can get that anywhere. All in all, despite the fact this place has been there forever, there are plenty of other tastier, classier places in the area, and probably at a more reasonable price.

Visiting friends in Little Compton - this is one their local favorites - we agreed! Menu had plenty for my vegetarian husband and it seemed that the kitchen was flexible to adjust (sign of fresh made food). I enjoyed reasonably priced oysters and loved my Haddock entree - really light and flavorful. We indulged in 3 desserts for the 5 of us - chocolate cake, sticky rice, and ice cream with huckleberry sauce - all delicious!

Dined here after a couple of years absence on a friend's recommendation. Hubs had Shrimp Alfredo (lots of shrimp), and I opted for the Half & Half Seafood plate - fried clams & bay scallops. Both were good, although there were more fries than seafood in mine for $24. Service was efficient.

The food is very good, and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Our group had: The Cowboy burger, "amazingly good and messy", Greek Salad, "Fresh, generous and good", Fish and Chips, "not greasy and very good", Onion Rings, "Also not greasy".The desserts looked very good, but we were full.

We are a seaside, American restaurant with stunning views of the Sakonnet River. Available for dine-in or takeout. Water views on both sides, outdoor patio, in-house catering, live entertainment in beautiful Portsmouth, Rhode Island.
Food is consistently good, friendly service & generous portions!Tonight we sat outside on the patio overlooking the Sakonnet River seeing as it was such a lovely night. Our server, Ashley, was super sweet and very friendly! Hubby and I each started with clam chowder. I had an order of steamers (very good) and he had fried calamari with banana peppers & a marinara sauce (very good as well).

Join us for a relaxing and memorable experience at the Boat House. Our locally inspired menu, creative cocktail offerings and unmatched hospitality provide the recipe for a great meal. With dramatic views of Mt. Hope Bay visible from nearly every seat in
The setting, the view, that's all terrific. The food was very good, not great. A couple of things left me less than excited as this was my first visit there. First, we were offered a table "on the covered terrace". The fact that it was immediately next to the bar as well as a table of ten was not mentioned. It was very noisy. Yes, I and the rest of our party are no longer young and therefore find the noise level more objectionable than we would have many years ago. However, the lovely young lady at the reception podium should have, I believe, been conscious of those factors. Anyhow, we survived and I was having images of a nice baked two pound lobster like the one we get at Bay Point in Quincy --- also with a nice water setting. BUT, when I asked about it I found out the lobster was a 1 1/4 pounder I lost interest. I think they call them chicken lobsters, but whatever it is called I would call that size totally inadequate. Oh, and the very nice hot rolls didn't reach us until almost when our dinners came out. So, pluses and minuses, but I doubt that I would take the hours ride it was for us again.Hi Murray300,Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear your visit did not exceed expectations. We wish we were made aware of the noise level at your table and would have done everything we could to relocate you to a quieter part of the restaurant. Our baked stuffed lobster is one of our most popular dishes and we hope you will join us again in the future and give it a try. I'm confident you will not be disappointed. We had a beautiful corner table overlooking the water and outside deck. The service staff was friendly, fast and efficient. We shared a shrimp cocktail appetizer and the shrimp were so big that it took two bites to eat them. We both had the grilled swordfish and it was cooked to perfection and seasoned with pepper and lemon. The orders came with a good-sized salad, choice of starch and choice of veggies. The fresh bread was served with a nice, seasoned oil. We were too full to order dessert but the menu looked very inviting. Their wine list was surprisingly varied and reasonably priced. The wait staff found that perfect mix of checking on us a few times, but not to the point of distraction or annoyance. Cristina was our waitress and she did a great job! I would definitely eat here again!
