I had lunch at Rey de Gambas with the owner. We had squid ink noodles, chicken croquettes, and, of course, shrimp. Everything was well prepared, beautifully served and accompanied by some great Spanish wines. Mr. Gu, the owner, speaks perfect Spanish and is delightful to talk to.

Dined here a few times, including a Sunday brunch. I thoroughly enjoyed the decor, service, and atmosphere. On a clear day you can go out and enjoy the beautiful views of the Hai River. Compared to other hotels in Tianjin such as the Astor or the Westin or the Sheraton, the food options are not as plenty but the quality is unbeatable, especially the dessert. There's also foreign staff working in the restaurant so it creates a fairly international dining environment. Had the pleasure of having lunch here over the weekend with some friends. Actually it was a blue sky day, which was awesome! Had a really great lunch here. High quality food and wine. Friendly staff. Very intimate. They have inside and outside seating. Was too windy for outside though. Beautiful views of Tianjin. I have had a few Chinese restaurant meals in my time, but this was outstanding. The flavours and presentation and staff attentiveness was first class. This is obviously far from the cheapest place in Tianjin to eat but the restaurant is really a delight and thoroughly recommended.
