Havebeen seeking a good place onthe north of LBI for take/out and this place is perfect! We do not eat fried foods and there were many great choices! Packed for dine-in and take-out, but ready fast and the food was nice and warm and perfectly broiled when we ate at home! Scallops (and a good amount!), freshly cooked corn, and wild rice! Perfect!

Went here with colleagues to have a late dinner. It was off-season & karaoke night, and it was busy and loud. Bar service was good; and server took food order. Service was quick and efficient. They have the very best clam chowder I believe that I've every had. And, the crab cakes were also large and excellent. I'm big on fresh seafood, and this was it. Worth a trip, and I know I'll return.
Salt is the main restaurant at the New Hotel LBI. We went on a Friday night and really enjoyed ourselves. The lobby and decor were âbeachyâ and tasteful. We were seated right away per our reservation and loved the view of the recent sunset over The Bay.The have really nice selections of wine and craft beer and neat cocktails. We shared apps of calamari and fried oysters- both very tasty. The main courses (sole and scallops) were also very nicely done. The sauces really complimented the food. The fresh bread to start the meal was also top notch. Our server Mikey was friendly and attentive. We will be back for sure.
we decided to "eat in" and saw this place had takeout. We went in and found a great seafood market, order of FRESH fish. they even had a holding tank and one of the workers was filleting a flounder. Case had some outstanding looking fresh fish but we were staying in the motel so we had no other choice than to order takeout. Good choice. I had the Manhattan Clam Chowder and my wife and I both ordered the grilled scallops which were tender and delicious. Nice sides of fries/cole slaw or potato salad. if you want good seafood take out here is the place

Went the other night for dinner and sat on the porch. Restaurant has a charming comfortable modern feel to it.Our waiter was Steven. He was wonderful: knew menu, efficient and funny! We ordered the sourdough bread that is served with unsalted butter and sea salt on side. Bread is excellent but they charge $5 for it!We shared a salad with beets and the grilled octopus. Both were good. (enough for 5 to share)Best entrees were special of day: grilled tuna and on menu the scallops. This place is very pricey but you are paying seasonal prices. However, Stevenâs Service was 100%: when we changed from Chardonnay to Pinot Giorgio, he gave us new glasses. He is an asset to this restaurant Also hostesses are friendly. They have a parking lot.If you read other reviews... they take credit cards nowPS forgot delicious lemon tart!

I own a food establishment on LBI so I was anxious to visit Surf City Hotel Bistro since new owners have taken over. I had heard both positive and some negative remarks and I thought, let's see for ourselves. We met two dear friends there at 7:00 p.m. for our reservations. We were promptly seated and although the restaurant was packed we were advised that our server would be with us in short order, which he was. We ordered drinks and an appetizer which came to the table in five minutes. The calamari was delicious and the drinks were great. We ordered various entrees, stuffed flounder, scallops, and salmon. Everything was prepared and plated perfectly. I thoroughly enjoyed my flounder dish that was stuffed with an adequate, tasty amount of crabmeat. My wife and her friend said the scallops were done well. The young staff was caring and considerate. I would rate our meals a solid 10. I am glad to see the Surf City Hotel has hired a chef who gets it. We will return and wish the new owners the very best of lock!

New York City dining on the Jersey Shore!
Food was good but overpriced for what they are. Too many tables for the amount of space in the dining room. There should not be a table by the kitchen entrance. Extremely loud and carrying on a conversation was difficult. Service was mixed as one of the 2 waiters seemed like he didn't want to be there. Our second time there and probably our last.

CLOSED FOR THE SEASON. REOPENING MAY 2019. Blvd. Clams is a full service family restaurant with take out service and a fresh seafood market, also available. See your fresh fish in the beautiful display cases and it will be prepared for you from the menu,
Came here expecting great seafood and left feeling very unsatisfied. My Dad had the mussels as a appetizers and crab for dinner. He said both were just okay. My Mom had the lobster roll and said that it was the worst lobster sheâs ever had. I ordered the salmon with dijon glaze. The first thing I did was scrape off all the glaze because it was awful. After a few bites of my salmon I noticed that it was RAW! I even asked for it well done. I paid $24 for that salmon and didnât eat more than 3 bites of it. There are other places nearby with far better seafood.Farrelma, we want to only serve plates that we are proud of, and would like to apologize that it did not come across that way to you! We do encourage all guests to express all food concerns to their server while still dining, as we would be happy to accommodate where we see fit! If possible, would you please contact us at [email protected] with the date and time of your visit, as I would like to further look into the situation with our kitchen staff. Please be assured that this will be an isolated incident and not a true representation of our business. We thank you for your feedback and hope that you will give us another try soon!

Have been wanting to try this place for a while now so we went on Memorial Day weekend. We were not disappointed in any way. Service was excellent and food was delicious. The night's halibut special was wonderful and my wife loved the burrata ravioli. Their lobster bisque is the best I have ever had! This is a byob but they do have some Working Dog wines available ( we love that winery so that was great). Although it is pricey, it's no more so than any other nice restaurant on the island. We will return.

Mid week in June and this place was mobbed. We opted for outdoor seating on the counters, which was a good choice. Service was fast. We enjoyed the tuna nachos and garlic clams.
