Skopelos (Greek: Σκόπελος) is a Greek island in the western Aegean Sea. Skopelos is one of several islands which comprise the Northern Sporades island group, which lies east of the Pelion peninsula on the mainland and north of the island of Euboea. It is part of the Thessaly region. Skopelos is also the name of the main port and the municipal center of the island. The other communities of the island are Glossa and Neo Klima (Elios). The geography of Skopelos includes two mountains over 500 m (1,640 ft); Delphi (681 m/2,234 ft) in the center of the island, and Palouki (546 m/1,791 ft) in the southeast. With an area of 96 square kilometres (37 sq mi) Skopelos is slightly larger than Mykonos (85 km/33 sq mi) and Santorini (73 km/28 sq mi). The nearest inhabited islands are Skiathos to the west and Alonissos to the east.

A traditional greek tavern on the beautiful Panormos Bay, just one step from the sea...With such a magnificient natural view, you have the very good example of the greek kitchen...All food is prepared with perfect attention, the tastes were excellent...Even a simple food is served with great care...One of the hidden gems of the island...I highly recommend...

Nestled in a courtyard style garden, in the old olive factory area of Skopelos Town, enjoy Greek and Mediterranean cuisine prepared with fresh and locally sourced products. Wash it down with a bottle of Greek wine from our extensive wine list.
Having stayed in Skopelos Town for 12 days, we were slightly tired of the busy seafront, with scooters buzzing around restaurants like angry wasps and the general frenetic atmosphere. If you want a quiet but classy setting just off the sea front, with an excellent menu not biased towards heavy meat dishes, look no further. Our waiter was charming without being obsequious, the meal overall the best weâd had during our stay. I donât often give 5 star reviews but this restaurant certainly deserves it.

This gastronomic journey began in 1953 in the picturesque amphitheatrical village of Glossa, on Skopelos. That year, grandmother Aglaia Stamataki and her son Nikos (grandfather of the present owner) set up a tavern that they named "Gallia" (France), to ap
walking uphill, glossa is like that, from the bus stop you might pass this blue shuttered restaurant. even from outside the views over the sea where breathtaking. Inside the decor and service simply add to the experience. simply put a must go.

Visited this delightful restaurant for lunch three days in a row now and have thoroughly enjoyed every visit. The food is delicious and the service is excellent even when very busy as yesterday 25 June 2019. There is one young woman serving who is a joy to be served by. I would highly recommend this place as it will help make your day at the beach a pure pleasure.

Ampeliki is located close to the sea. It is a typical Greek tavern offering food better than other places in town. Sitting on a terrace you can enjoy authentic greek food like Kontosouvli (pork with vegetables and herbs) or Ratatouille (mixed vegetables in tomato sauce).

We visited this place twice in our week's holiday. We had lovely food and helpful, friendly service on both occasions. We passed by the restaurant every day and the main man in charge always greeted us cheerfully - a nice touch. It's set on the side of the sea with plenty of tables inside and a few on the path right next to the sea. Easy listening classics are playiing but are not too loudly so are not intrusive. We shared a main each time - grouper the first time with grilled vegetables followed by a lemon sorbet with spearmint, then toasted bread with tapenade, squid (a whole big one!) and the vegetable selection without the aubergine (we don't eat egg). They were very patient with us because of the egg thing - taking care to explain what we couldn't eat - and made us feel like we weren't being a complete pain. And no hassle about us sharing a main course. The house rose wine was delicious. We'd happily go back - such nice people. Recommend it.

I would recommend this piace to everyone. We stayed in Skopelos one week and, even though we like to try out always new things, we went to Stafilos Restaurant three times! Great Greek traditional plates as well as fresh fish, fair prices, very nice people and a romantic terrace for seaside views at moonlight. Strongly recommended!

Our business will be closed from Sunday 25/8/2019 due to the end of the season and will be restarted on 1/5/2020.
Had a lovely meal at Faros restaurant this week. The owner recommended his own wine which was absolutely lovely - smooth and dry. For mains we chose the octopus and the squid. Both were delicious! The octopus looked like an octopus which was a little challenging - weâve had a lot of octopus this holiday and it has always been diced! We wish we hadnât gone for starters which compared to the mains were average. The views are stunning. We ate our meal watching the sun go down. The owner brought us a free dessert and the local liqueur to drink - a largish bottle as well. We were puzzled why the restaurant was not completely full - if deserves to be. All Iâm all a great evening and excellent value for money.Î Î¿Î»Ï ÏÎ¬Ï ÎµÏ ÏαÏιÏÏοÏμε γιά ÏÏ ÏÏÏλιο ÏαÏ, Î¼Î¬Ï Î´Î¯Î½ÎµÎ¹ ÎºÎ¿Ï Ïάγιο καί δÏναμη νά ÏÏοÏÏÏάμε άν καί Î±Ï ÏÏ ÎµÎ¯Î½Î±Î¹ ή δική Î¼Î±Ï ÏÏοÏεÏαιÏÏηÏα.Îίναι ÏμÏÏ Îνα εÏιÏλÎον κίνηÏÏο, ÏÏαν ÏιλοξενοÏμενοι ÏεÏÎ³Î¿Ï Î½ μΠÏήν Î³Î»Ï ÎºÎ¹Î¬ γεÏÏη καί Ïήν αÏεÏιÏÏιÏÏη ÎµÏ ÏαÏίÏÏηÏη καί διαθÎÏÎ¿Ï Î½ ÏÏÏνο αÏÏ ÏÏν Î´Î¹ÎºÏ ÏÎ¿Ï Ï, γιά νά εξηγήÏÎ¿Ï Î½ ÏÎ¿Ï Î¯ÏÏÏ ÏÏ ÏαÏάδειγμα καί Ïά ÏÏÏλια ÏαÏ,Î³Î¯Î½Î¿Ï Î½ εμÏειÏία καί ÏÎ Î¬Î»Î»Î¿Ï Ï ÏÏ Î½Î±Î½Î¸ÏÏÏÎ¿Ï Ï Î¼Î±Ï. We have been - almost everyday - to this beach for around two weeks. The umbrella and two beds is 7euro for a day. After 10 am gets busy. There is a bar service at the umbrella, the music is acceptably not too loud and the beach bar customers can also enjoy a swim in the nice pool. The beach of Limnonari is very beautiful and the sea itself is like a pool. Very nice service! We have also dined one evening at the restaurant and it was rather empty. The impression is that it works more during the day, but even in the evening the view is stunning and the food overall good. Maybe they should exploit more the position, the bar and the pool.
