We visited Cromer during June when the weather was so warm. We bought dressed crab, cockles and scallops from the cottage shop of J. Lee Fisherman in New Street, one of the nearby narrow streets and then a large container of salad from Morrisonâs to go with them. We took them back to our hotel and what a delicious feast they made. We would highly recommend that you taste and see for yourself.

First time back this year, have had take always but not in the restaurant. Fish was good as was the batter, chips were good and just the right amount. The restaurant was heaving as we forgot it was still half term and there were plenty of families. Meal was good but not excellent.

We are local and visited Hot Rocks for the first time having seen the advert in the Cromer Carnival/Festival magazine - which is brilliant. We took a friend for lunch as she enjoys fish. She had the Lobster Thermador which she said was excellent. My husband and I opted for the seafood linguine and the waitress asked if we would like it with a special hot kick or mild to medium. I chose the mild to m, as I have acid reflux and cannot enjoy really hot chilli. My husband opted for the one with the kick. After removing just a quarter of the chilli I still could not eat mine and the waitress offered to run some more cream through mine, which she kindly did but it was still too hot. My husband who does like hot chilli dishes was also struggling. Apparently the chef likes food with a kick and I can appreciate that but with so much chilli the seafood was lost. Hopefully the chef or one of the staff will taste the dish before it is sent out to the diner.

Hungry golfers fancied a bit of fish and chilled wine, thought this would be ok. On arrival almost changed our minds as it was a bit basic, the menu looked tatty and tired, but when the food arrived we were in for a treat. Various food bites that looked ordinary in the script turned up a treat. The main course of roast hake with cauliflower bhaji was a revelation. Very well done the chef. A good chilled Pinot Rosè and French Sauvignon Blanc Drank perfectly. The service light and fun. For seasoned foodies we left very happy. Give it a go.

Locally owned and managed. Located in the North Norfolk coastal town of Cromer. We source local produce where available and present the finished dishes for reasonable prices.
Another independent breakfast place on my list. Excellent place with an interesting menu. First visit I had Eggs Benidict which compared to the one I had in a new Slug and Lettuce in Nottingham was 100 times better. My friends all agreed we would come again on The Sunday. Everybody tried different things on the menu. I imagine it's pretty cool in the evening as they have a vintage jukebox

Small and perfectly formed, this tiny street stall with its abundance of really fresh crabs and prawns is delightful. The two industrious women serving, were kept busy by a steady stream of customers, but remained cheerful and chirpy. Prices are remarkably good value, the dressed crab was absolutely delicious and the service is great.

What a gem! The food is amazing and the freshness shines through. The light bites are great for sharing with the squid being our favourite. Portion sizes are generous and served with a great salad. Certain areas aren't dog friendly so best to check when booking. You can cut across the field from the restaurant and have a lovely walk along the clifftop. The expresso panacotta was perfect!

What do Private Fraser and Sergeant Wilson from "Dads Army", Rene and Yvette from "'Allo, 'allo", Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery have in common? They are all featured on the front of The Lobster in the centre of Sheringham. While my wife was shopping, as this pub isdog friendly, I called in for a coffee. It was just before lunch time but there were hardly any customers and no atmosphere. The service was OK but that was all, Whilst the paintings on the outside are great, the "garden" seating area needs some attention

Two seniors came across this small fish and chip shop, with it's adjoining restaurant by chance. What a superb find. The menu is clear and concise, and once your meal has been ordered, it appears at lightening speed. The quality of the fish is second to none, and the pricing very fair. How pleasant to find that your sauces are in actual bottles, and not wretched sachets. This is certainly one of those establishments that we would search out again.
