We tried to walk to Villa Cefala and road is tricky but lesson learned! The location was excellent and the food too. Thoroughly enjoyed grouper ravioli with whole langoustine followed by grilled prawns and a superb lemon sorbet. Service was good and price for two was â¬71 so not bad

I visited Kantuccio after high recommendation from the hotel I was staying. As the restaurant was not within walking distance, the owners of the restaurant very kindly collected me and drove me back to the hotel once finished. The food was delicious and their warm hospitality and service made me feel very welcome. I would very happily go back to Kantuccio the next time I'm in Porticello.

I spent some time in Santa Flavia recently for a family wedding. Meeting became our regular choice for dinner. The food is amazing and each night everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal there. I particularly recommend the salmon farfalle and the crayfish and pistachio ravioli, both delicious! Also the bruschetta is gorgeous. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

This Place is probably packed in the summertime. In winter it's only open from Friday to Sunday evening. The major selling point is the large variety of vey delicious pizzas, fresh from a wood oven. The staff are friendly, and the house wine for 5⬠a liter is very drinkable. For beer lovers, there is a good selection of special beers to savor. Best pizza I had in the area.

Very good pizzeria with friendly staff and good service. The Calzone Solunto was excellent. What sets this place apart is the stunning view across the coast. The restaurant is perched on the side of a steep hill overlooking Porticello and the coastline stretching over towards Cefalu. Spectacular. And decent value too: 4 pizzas with sides, bottle of good wine and soft drinks for less than 70 euros.

Wonderful fish and seafood in front of Porticello's fishermen's landing dock. Pastas, including some homemade recipes, is among the best you can find in the Palermo area, and the manager Mariuccia (founder Franco's daughter) is a sweet and most dedicated person who will tell you everything she knows about local fish and cuisine. A lazy lunch on a sunny day at I Piscaturi is a treat and it'll make you want to come back soon.

Tanit, an idea set between Solunto and the sea. A journey that feeds on love for good food and Mediterranean passion for hospitality ranging from fish, to meat, to pizza.
We ate a delicious dinner in Tanit. Starter: Sicilian antipasti made of potatoes with additions. Main courses: 1) delicate rack of lamb 2) tasty fish (can't remember the name). Desert: 1)extreamly sweet and aromatic cream of ricotta with pistachio deep 2) couscous made on sweet, both artisticly served. Everythink delicious. We are to visit Tanis again.

Place of choice of local seafood.
The location is picture perfect for close to Palermo. I ordered seafood ( misto insalata) however others ordered pasta with tuna and each was under done. The restaurant serves pasta â al dente â and Ours was still hard. The fruito misto however was perfect.

The outside seating (greatly appreciated in summer evening) is arranged in an internal court which encapsulates the piazza of a small village with great taste and attention to details, creating a very welcoming atmosphere which goes very well with the high quality of the food and the friendly and efficient service. We ordered a la carte, though they also offer an interesting menu degustazione, and both first and second courses were delicious and well prepared - all fish based, artfully combining traditional cuisine with some creative touches. The background music was at a pleasantly low volume, leaving room to the wailing of the seagulls which remind of the position next to the harbour - with ease of car parking. The price was reasonable, in two we spent Eur 75 for full dinner and wine (nice selection of local producers, our Insolia Chiaramonte was very good). We had a very nice time, and will go back if we have the opportunity.

....restaurants we have eaten in on our five week Italy Road Trip. We stayed nearby (actually just 50m away across the road) in our holiday home for five nights. And we came here for four dinners....we loved it so much.It is a quite big and very popular restaurant. Not much among international tourists, but popular with locals and Italian Tourists as well. There's a good number of tables inside, but in summer you definitely wanna sit outside. There's lots of space, but on weekends the place gets packed, be sure to make a reservation. We had lots of great food here. It's mostly Italian food, Pasta and Seafood Dishes and Pizze as well. Ingredients are fresh and the kitchen does some nice innovative twists. Many dishes using Pistachio in some unexpected, but tasty ways. Here's a list of the dishes we had:Tomato and Meat Bruschetta - good and freshShrimp / Pistachio Risotto - nicely cooked, fresh Shrimp, nice Pistachio twistSeafood Pasta - a classic; al dente and fresh seafoodSpaghetti Vongole - another classic; pasta cooked perfectly, super fresh vongoleRavioli with Shrimp and Salmon - nice homemade pasta with tasty fresh salmonSalmon / Mozzarella Plate - huge size; great tasting smoked salmonPizza 4 Gusti - rich and plenty; could easily fill up two peopleCozze - freshly steamed mussels; good stuffSeafood Pasta (Fricelli), nice pasta again; very filling!Linguini w/ tomatoes, pistachio and swordfish; another great combination of flavorsYou see, a lot of great food! And lucky for us, so close to our "home" for that time. Service was always very friendly, attentive and also helpful. A glass of Prosecco comes with every dinner....complementary! Also a nice Ice bucket with the wine. Great staff, great food, great menu! It was really one of our highlights on this Italian vacation. We had a dog with, but she had to stay home, no dogs allowed, but we understand that. No minus points for this.Prices are fair, you might expect a bigger bill. We always paid between 45 - 60 Euros. For 1-2 starters, two mains and a whole bottle of wine. Highly recommended!Wanna know more about me and my trips? Check my profile.
