This is the only restaurant within walking distance of the Rivabella Campeggio campsite. From the outside it is very uninteresting looking but the staff were friendly and the food turned out to be surprisingly tasty. Odd mixture of Chinese and Italian but hey, who am I to complain?

Personale gentilissimo e servizio veloce. Consigliatissimo....anche x eventi importanti e cerimonie!

Unfortunately we can't come here often but every time we are back in Italy this is one of our favorite restaurant. The location is not easy to find but it is worth the trip. The personnel and the owner are always very kind and polite. The owner Alberto is the chef and he comes often to the tables to talk with his customers and he always welcome you when you arrive. The dinner starts with an aperitif in the restaurant cellar, a must do!About the food, after several times we have been here we cannot find anything wrong (except personal taste). The only improvement we can suggest are the desserts. Not too elaborated compared to the rest of the menu.Definitely recommended both for a dinner with friends or a romantic special occasion.

Very atmospheric, excellent service with tasty food. I had the impression that local people ate there and with good reason as it was top value and good quality.

Roncola is a village slightly northwest of Bergamo -- frankly we went there to escape the July heat. And how we congratulated ourselves! The higher altitude gave us fresh air and a truly breathtaking view of the valley below. And we found Ristorante al Botto, an amazing restaurant well known by Italians who drive from Milan and Bergamo to enjoy beautifully prepared lunch and dinner in cooler temperatures. We began with a fresh and imaginative salad followed by fish -- a whole sea bass for me, a filet for my husband, both perfectly cooked and served. The smiling waitress offered to filet my fish and did so quickly and expertly at our table on the terrace. We accompanied the meal with chilled Prosecco -- just perfect for a July evening. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful in every way. Dinner was such a pleasant experience we returned the following night for pizza and pasta and appreciated this meal as much as the first! Excellent value both times, and again, the view is spectacular.

The location, setting, parking situation, restaurant and rooms couldn't be better. This place is full of charm, tradition and local pride. It's the kind of place we're always hoping to find. Excellent value for money. We recommend it highly and in fact have already made two additional reservations for later this year. Not to be missed.

For all those visiting Bergamo and willing to try the very symbol of local cuisine, this simple restaurant might be ideal. I´ve always had polenta here, especially the 3 polenta dish featuring polenta taragna (polenta with local cheese), polenta ai funghi (with mushrooms) and contaidna (with cream, spinach and salame).

I ate here a few weeks ago with my husband on a Sunday afternoon. We'd already been here with friends just over a year ago and we kept meaning to go back as we'd eaten very well. Unfortunately this time round we came away with another sensation which was one of sheer disappointment. I just fail to understand why they can't print the menu with prices so I can clearly understand what I'm paying for and if I think it's worth it based on the size of the portion, the ingredients and the skills required to make the dish. We spent almost 80 euros as we were given a small discount due to a misunderstanding and I left quite hungry to be honest. My first course was very nice but the portion was miserable especially since I paid such a considerable amount for it. My husband's starter and pasta were very good but again unjustifiable prices. Then my second course of seabass which was cooked in boiling pan with herbs and served with two sad potatoes tasted more like hospital food. I understand it's a healthy choice and that seemed to be their selling point but I was utterly shocked to find it this dish cost 25 euros when presented with the bill. A baby could have eaten more. I also love simple dishes but if you're asking similar prices then you have to dress up your plate better. It just looked like a sad offering. The couple who run the place are very friendly and the location is nice but I surely won't be coming back as I just feel that I spent a small fortune for a very average meal. We had a litre of water and a glass of wine and no dessert but were offered a little canoncino at the end which was nice but I just felt stung by the hefty price tag.

This restaurant is a little secret on the hills near Bergamo, a secret that is a pleasure to discover. The two dining rooms have huge windows on the wonderful landscape of the area and that's already one reason to pay a visit. The restaurant has a really great staff that treats you like a king and the dining is definitely top quality. To add some more to this quality all of the ingredients are local and authentic local cuisine brought to the highest of standards. I had the tasting menu that was composed of 2 entrees, 1 course of pasta, 1 course of vegetables, 1 course of meat, 1 pre-dessert (amazing) and a choice of desserts. Everything was served with great presentation and you could really tell how much research went into each course. The prices are high but the quality is very high so it truly deserves a visit.Recommended!
