This beautiful restaurant is centrally located with gorgeous ocean views. The food is outstanding, the fresh seafood was skilfully prepared. The portions are huge and the prices reasonable. The staff is very friendly and attentive, they treat you like a celebrity. I have to mention Nello who went out of his way to accommodate any requests. Grazie Nello dalle due ragazze del tavolo con vista.

Il locale si presenta molto bene, gusto raffinato ed è pulito. Il personale di servizio si adopera in maniera efficace alle richieste. Ottime le tartare di tonno , il carpaccio di tonno con l'arancia , l'antipasto di mare. Buoni i fruttoni che abbiamo preso, e la grigliata di pesce . I primi piatti gentilmente divisi in due bissa per ogni commensale, molto valide se è per legatura del sugo alla pasta che per qualità del pesce in presenza. Il vino che c'è stato servito era di presenza corretta in vista del menù in arrivo . Impressione molto buona e conto assolutamente in linea con ciò che abbiamo preso. Invidiabile la posizione in piazzetta.

It's so unusual to find a place where you can relax yourself in August in Scalea, it's crowded every where, however we were sure to find a nice atmosphere in this restaurant we usually go during the summer. The location is stylish and the atmosphere always lively, the service fast and nice. The food is always fresh, both fish and meat, I love the dessert most of all because they are based on the Calabria tradition. We spent a lovely night, thanks.Grazie :)

This is a family run business. The owner welcomes you with open arms, he is charismatic and genuinely wants you to have a great night. He will chat to you, cook for you and sing to you. His son is also charming. The food is very good (like most places in San Nicola) but we go more for the atmosphere. Highly recommended.

My wife and I ate dinner here twice during our weeklong stay in town. Both meals were excellent in terms of taste, value and service. Calabria style tends to be homestyle cooking, rather than multi-layered haute cuisine. Fresh ingredients make every dish superb. Fresh grilled fish, pasta, and "Kipos antipasti" were all excellent. Kipos Seems to be one of the few restaurants that doesn't list Pizza as a main specialty. Serviced by Luca, with a smile and fluent English, made it a pleasure. We will be back!

This restaurant can be found on a sidestreet to the left of the main square in San Nicola. Let me start by saying it is beautifully appointed, quite intimate, very brightly lit, offers good service and the food is superb, if not a little expensive. What really lets this place down is the poor menu. This must be the smallest menu I have ever seen! If, like me, you are a picky eater, then this is not for you. From memory, there were 4 x 3 course set meals and 1 x 2 course set meal to choose from and very little on the "a la carte" page, To be fair, they did offer us something "off Menu" and the crisped potatoes were unique and deliciously different. In summary - if you eat anything and everything, this restaurant will not disappoint. If you like a great choice and enjoy trying different variations, then this establishment will probably not suffice.

We came to know this restaurant only by chance. My wife and I decided to give it a try after experiencing some difficulties in making a last minute reservation in other restaurants. We didn't regret it! To arrive to this place it's a little awkward, you need to take a very narrow (and little dirty) road and, once parked, walk through a residential village. Don't get discouraged and keep up!... Upon your arrival you'll be repaid with a breathtaking view of the entire Gulf of Policastro. You won't resist the opportunity to take amazing pics!Food: my wife and I took the house appetisers and different first course dishes (all sea-food based). We found the food of excellent quality, prepared with fresh ingredients and cooked with care. The bill was more than adequate the quality dinner we had been served.I didn't assign 5 star to this place only because of the arriving peculiarities. I recommend it and I'll definitely come back in case I visit the area again.

My friend and I rode our motorcycles all day and stopped at the hotel for the evening to find a wonderful restaurant on site with a beautiful pool, patio and well-kept grounds. We will return for a second ride this coming weekend with a group. Thank you for taking care of all our needs. The food was good, service was excellent, the staff was very hospitality, the atmosphere was very comfortable, very thing was exceptionally clean.

I have been here many, many times in the past. The food on those occasions was much better, especially the pasta. However, I have been here enough to see a steady decline in the quality and taste of the food. Today, I went again. This time it was beyond average. I had the fish (mixed platter) and wish I had not ordered this. I should have had some pasta. The mixed grill was a poor sampling of very "fishy" fish, not at all tasty. The shrimp was not cleaned, so, I had to devein it myself. I felt that for the price I should not have to deal with shrimp poop. It cost 10 euros for the appetizer fish dish, and another 15 euros for the mixed grill. This was definitely not worth it. This was "off season" (mid-March) so, there is no reason for any of the poor food...there were only the three of us, plus another couple. With those numbers, and so close to the sea, everything should have been excellent. It was not. I always enjoy coming to San Nicola Arcella for the beautiful rock, cave, and cliff formations and ocean views. In the past, I have enjoyed a nice lunch or dinner at this restaurant. However, next time I will go to the beach area, pack a lunch, look at the beautiful caves and ocean, and bypass this restaurant. There are so many other excellent choices in this area, especially for the price. Better yet, pack your own lunch and have the best seat in the house...AT THE BEACH. So, there is no reason to come here.
