Things to do in San Antonio
Previous diners have praised this restaurant for excellent cuisine and very friendly service. They were right to do so as the food is authentic and delicious. The staff could not be more helpful.

Some of the best seafood dishes we've had on the coast! Right after New Years, we came to El Barco after passing by it several times. It is uphill from the beach, with stunning views. Decor is nautical/rustic. Service was friendly right away (the owner attended us!) but what really impressed us was the food. He let us know what was fresh that day and his recommendations did not disappoint. The shellfish, particularly, was amazing (locos, machas, etc). Food was not necessarily cheap compared to other restaurants in the area but it was reasonably priced considering the quality and the restaurant experience. Look forward to another visit!

Located on the fifth floor of the Hotel Pacifico [was Hotel San Antonio}. Good breakfast with nice selection included in room tariff. Dinner was very good with good service though English is limited. Pasta with cheese was very rich, and the steak and fries were very good. Great view of harbor thru windows that cry out to be cleaned.Very convenient for pre cruise stays. Recommend. Hope this helps.

Situated uphill in front of the harbor this restaurant offers traditional Chilean dishes in a cosy atmosphere with a friendly and distinguished service. One must absolutely try the orange custard served in a rhum sauce... spectacular ! You will be granted a 10 % discount if you pay cash. And contrary to the usual Chilean custom, the bill doesn't include the "sugerida propina", yet the waiters here do really deserve it.

This local pub/restaurant fed us a nice chilean meal prior to our going on a cruise out of San Antonio. The waitress was friendly and willing to work with our limited knowledge of Spanish.

This restaurant was right behind the Hotel we were staying at in San Antonio. We were there for one night and boarding a cruise ship next day. We were mortified at the prospect of trying to decipher the Spanish language menu when we 'no habla espanol' A waiter seated us and sensing our language barrier, he sent over Mario.Mario saved the night. He helped us with the menu. I asked if he had any fish and he responded as per the title. The food was absolutely delicious. The service to notch. I give this place a five.
