The short version is that everything that I liked about Meson Madrid has deteriorated over time. The salad was soaking in water and wilted, disgusting. I tried to drain it but it made the dressing watery. My son didnât even attempt to drain it and just didnât eat it. The artichoke and ham appetizer tasted like the artichokes came out of a can and instead of pieces of ham, there were little shavings like a ham version of Bacon Bits. The garlic shrimp was okay but swimming in oil. The only good thing was the Tres Leches cake. The restaurant decor is very dated and looks like it needs a good cleaning. After going there for so many years, we wonât be going back.

Yes, it is a local bar so keep your expectations realistic. Nevertheless, if you want local flavor this is the place. When you enter you see a large bar with friendly customers enjoying food and drink in lively conversation. There are three silent tv screens so you can keep up with your favorite sport. To the right, a nondescript door leads to the teeny tiny restaurant. Plenty of old time family pictures on the wall, tables with no tablecloths, hard wooden chairs. What did you expect? You did come here for the food, right? Gaetana does her best to cater to everyone and it can be a challenge for her when the place gets busy but she manages. Rudy's is a seafood restaurant, try the calamari (I recommend the medium hot sauce), the mussels and anything that you fancy. Check out the specials board too.

We visited with our friends on Sunday night and the place was very busy, had to wait about 1/2 hour for a table. There is no place to wait so we just hung out by the door but it was cold and uncomfortable. Once seated, our waiter brought menus and drinks. It took an exceptionally long time for our main course to arrive, but we didnât mind, it gave us time to talk and catch up with our friends. The portions were very big, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. We would definitely try this place again.

Weâve eaten at the Mermaid before, but really thought the happy hour was excellent on this trip. The service is efficient, but not rushed. All of the waitstaff are helpful and pleasant and the food is very tasty. We had a mini clam chowder to start, followed by two dozen oysters. At happy hour, oysters are only $1.25...a great deal. My wife then had the crab and spinach dip; I had a shrimp and avocado slider and we shared a wedge salad. As a treat they give a small chocolate pudding as a free dessert. Itâs a great spot for a pleasant dinner.

The Stancato family has not quite been in Ridgefield as long as Ridgefield has been around. Not quite, but their 40 years of restaurant business, culminating in the popular Cafe Tivoli, is a history of its own, with a certain pioneer flavor. Frank Stancat
Hidden off a few blocks from busy Tonnele Avenue, TÃvoli has been around for awhile and it still doesnât disappoint. Moderate to high prices, great food, and service. Average plate around $15-20; check the specials- crab meat over linguini was amazing, but it was $23. Most dishes come with a salad which was fresh and good. They serve alcohol. Parking is right out front. You can reserve the upstairs for a small party / gathering.

We went for brunch around 1:30pm, we wanted to seat outside but it started to rain, so they move our table inside, our table was on the side by the bar, the food was really good and the portion was very large, I end up having leftovers for 3 days.My only disappointment was the flies they were everywhere on the tables next to us and he waiters weee acting like it was normal. It was very disturbing. All I was thinking if the flies are out in the dining area like that imagine how they are in the kitchen area.

Warm welcoming staff serving excellent food. The chick pea soup was tasty and served hot. Pasta with artichoke was excellent in white wine and chicken marsala with shrimp was delicious. Their menu is large and they are accommodating to food issues. We will definitely return
