You will not be disappointed. I haven't found anything like this anywhere else other than in Hawaii. The ice cream quality could be better but it's all about the shaved ice. They also dispense their own purified water which they also use for the ice they shave!

Located in a new strip mall, La Lupita is very new and clean looking with interesting wall art. The staff is very friendly and solicitous. However, the food was not very good. (Maybe because it was a Sunday evening.) When evaluating Mexican food, the "gold standard" for my wife and myself is carnitas. My wife ordered the carnitas tacos and I ordered the carnitas super burrito. Unfortunately, the carnitas were dry and tasteless. Interestingly, on the wall were taped pieces of paper and a white board with East Indian food items listed. Apparently, there is an East Indian connection to this restaurant, but we could not find out due to the language issue. We will not return.
Mississippi Catfish and Winks BBQ share a space next to a Smog place on San Pablo Avenue in Richmond, CA. went to try the catfish and fried shrimp - which I enjoyed but we really loved the ribs from Wink's BBQ! the pork rib was moist, tender, a bit smokey and well seasoned. It was at that magic point where it came off the bone easily but still had a little bite, all the fat was rendered, was very moist and wasn't stringy or dry. Bingo! The catfish was well seasoned and free of grease but the fillets were a bit thin in places so not as moist as I'd like. The shrimp were moist and tender. So this excellent rating is more for the pork ribs.

I have noticed lower ratings by other people, you can surprise me; every time we go the placed is packed. The food is fresh and plenty of food to eat. If you go away hungry it is your fault. As for us we will be back soon.
What a great time while eating very fresh, tasty seafood in the cajun-style prep - crab, shrimp, crawfish etc. Ultra-casual with plenty of wall and counter space for the graffiti writer in you (It is very encouraged). The table coverings come off a fresh roll of white paper and the napkins are the regular roll of paper-towels (there are dishes where you can't help but make a mess!). The San Pablo location is the 3rd with the others in Oakland and Concord. The wait-staff and owners are very enthusiastic about what they do; they are very friendly and certainly make you feel welcome. They also have a great selection of beers and ales from light to dark both in the bottle and on tap. A wonderful place to go whether just with friends, couples or family. I have been several times since they came to our City and I have enjoyed it every time. I think they may be opening an outdoor patio for the summer and fall months.San Pablo Councilman, Paul Morris.

Unassuming location interestingly tucked away as I found this place accidentally. There is parking (ADA access) yet get there before noon. My entrance to many folks enjoying seafood dishes and dim sum was greeted with a waiter seating me promptly. Clearly seeing I was new, a servier came by and explained their incredible menu. The food is excellent, the ample dim sum is delicious, and be choosy as there is LOTS to choose from. The serviers were so helpful when I pointed to unknown dim sum dishes. Upon leaving, thanked me for stopping by..and yes, I will be returning.

I went to the restaurant because my Chinese American cousin suggested the place ... the food was mediocre, the bathroom was SUPER disgusting bathroom, and WAAAAY too expensive. 4 of us had dim sum and it cost me $90. Ridiculous for the quality of food and the amount that I ate. I will never return.
