I went to visit Ristorante Conca Verdre with my wife (who is a local) and 5 year old son . It is a very nice place to eat up the hills from Savona. You must drive. The Menu has a wonderful range. Pizza (thin base) , fish and pasta. We all had a selection of pizza, fish and pasta and could not fault any all very nice Children are top of there agenda . On arrval they take childrens food order before anything else which is great. The staff were very good and also very nice I could not fault them in any way. The one thing that I was unhappy about was the coperto charge. (cutlery service charge) â¬3 per person including my 5 year old son ! Thats far to expensive . (â¬9 in total) This is Savona country side not Milan. This will stop Tips ! I will go back because the setting is very nice with a fantastic view of the reviera

Went there for lunch today .The food is okay and staff is friendly Prices are reasonable. The menu includes a lot of seafood Cost for sunbeds etc seems high. EUR 32 for one day

The food and service here is fantastic, especially in such a touristy area! We went to a few towns and restaurants were quite expensive and not particularly friendly. Here you'll be surrounded by locals in a lovely family restaurant. The tuna and the mussels are to die for! The white wine is delish and so very affordable... They also have special pasta (not white flour and it's gluten free) which was amazing, all hand made. We ended up going there 3 nights in a row, 100% recommend!

Well guys after wandering around the streets of Vado on ahot summers evening ,we decided on this restaurant.The service was very good,the ambiance excellent but the food was so so...............my Gf found many bones in her salmon which really put her off the dish,which was a shame.My prawns were cooked to perfection and seasoned in a delightful way.We didn't return over the course of the week we stayed in the area and would advise fellow diners stop there if you can find anything else nearby..............AND THE PRICE WAS EXPENSIVE for what we had.

We stopped on our way to sanremo and we are surprised at all.The pasta with pesto sause and fresh asparagus and the daily fish eas totally great.. Good warm welcome at this restaurant located the Hotel Mare in the grubby and industrial sector of town.An open / visible kitchen lets you observe the chef tasting food with the same spoon used to cook & serve. Nice!No compromise on altering dishes, for fussy eaters. Menu is very restricted, mushroom, fish or game and seafood. Massive Assumption that everyone likes these! Despite informing the waiter that my wife does not eat fish or seafood, all the hors dâoeurvers we fish based!!! No client focus or attention !!! The staff have dirty shoes and clothes too! Price was ok, with a fabulous bottle of Amarone the check came to â¬170 for two people.Remember this is a Michelin listed restaurant!! Not good enough!!Dear Bigboy1959,we feel very disappointed by reading your feedback.I took some ti to reply to this review as I personally checked with the maitre and the chef what happened.Allow me then to explain what actually happened point by point, as it differs from what you wrote.From January to May our restaurant was closed due to the complete renewal of our kitchen, which is now open and visible to our guests. The new kitchen was made with the latest technologies and "tidbits"; such as the sink divided in sections with constant flowing hot water, located at the chef's station, that allows him to have always clean spoons and cutlery. It goes without saying that he did not use the same spoon to taste and serve the dishes.You listed yourself that our carte is composed by mushrooms, fish, game, seafood and crustaceans so, despite being a restaurant with fish specialties, I'd have to disagree with you saying that our menu is restricted.As for altering or changing the dishes, we have no problems at all, the only thing we told you is that the Tasting menu is usually served for al the commensals of the table. Same thing for serving things not included in the menu - in fact to satisfy your wishes, the maitre suggested the Trofie with pesto you took, which are not in our carte.We take great care in the presentation, both of the dishes and the staff: moreover, we chose dark clothing in order to avoid possible stains on the uniform to be seen, so we're surprised to read that they had dirty clothes.We are glad you enjoyed your bottle of Amarone, but we have to say we're disapointed to find out only now that your experience wasn't as good as you told the maitre, who came by personally four times to make sure you were satisfied. this is becoming a must go when I'm in Italy, this place is really a singularity in the restaurant landscape in Savona. The dining room is amazing and is evident the level of investment the owner have done here, the result is worth the expenses, i suggest if you boon to ask for the "sala dei tappeti" is really good.The food is simply perfect, new style and old style sushi with fresh and local fish is one of the best you can have. The wine list is huge and deep but also expensive.....but but don't worry there is also a "cheap" wine list were you can get good and easy wine.So bottom line is a must go.

What has happened in Italy? Has the frozen truck become the restaurants friend? I understand about maintaining quality but it's everywhere. Every dish it seemed to me had the star on it indicating this apart from the pizza. It gets four stars because they are good and also have a good gluten free version. Good white pizza.
