I want to tell everyone about the fact enabled ugliness and cynical attitude towards me by the restaurant manager. And I ask people to be careful and bisit this restaurant in the future with danger!!!21.09.2016 I've ordered in this restaurant a portion of spaghetti . However, the spaghetti were stuck together ( agglutinate) and broken( probably before they were stored in the refrigerator at the bottom of a pot)On my request to give me a discount was refused.Who else wants to eat badly and to pay 40 Dear guest, thank you very much for having written us a review, because it is always an occasion to improve ourselves. We apologize for what happened to you and for the misunderstanding with our metre, due probably to language problems. Anyway we are used to serve express and fresh foods, prepared with selected short chain local products and the main aim of our staff is to meet customers needs, trying to satisfy always their requests. We hope to have you as our guest next time you come to Castiglione del Lago.

This original interior designed restaurant opened in 2012 with a beautiful view right in front of lake Trasimeno . Specialties are local dishes with lake fish and meat courses. Local wines and even a local beer can be tasted out on the portico. Four langu
This is a great restaurant below the old town, next to Lake Trasimeno. Very good service, imaginative menu with many home-made dishes not found elsewhere. Excellent starters, delicious home-made pasta and crispy pizzas. We started with a fish and a vegetarian antipasto - the vegetarian plate included grilled vegetables, quiche, several different crostini, lasagne and salad - all very tasty. Followed by home-made ravioli and pizzas. Too full for dessert. Very reasonably priced. Only negative was that it was a special night in Castiglione "Notte Bianco" so towards the end of the meal the place was full and they didn't seem to have quite enough waiting staff to cope.

This is (among other things) a great spot to take a lunch break when driving the A1. It's easy to reach, the food is excellent and it's cheap. We had good pastas (inc. vongole, as it was on the weekend) and tagliati.

Went there 3 times. Always very busy and staff rushing around. Food is good but due to staff rushing around seemed less attentive and they were just going through the motions of feeding people. The coperti or cover charge which I think pays for the bread of which most was sent back but then didn't know to leave a tip or not. A suggestion would be get rid of it unless its something the staff get and let the customers tip like they normally would. Food is very good and the meat all flame grilled which is great. Would have been 5 stars if service was slightly more on point instead of chaos.

Great view of the lake, unusually for this area in a slightly secluded location so you are away from the hustle and bustle and eternal traffic. Lovely park which is dog friendly. Good food - the fried lake fish is delicious - and good pasta, with some slightly unusual combinations. Definitely a place to come back to.

This is a nice restaurant located on the south shore of Lake Chiusi. You need to watch for the signs to find it without too much difficulty. Nice menu specializing in fish, including fish from the lake. Decent service and ambiance. Would probably be very nice in warm weather as it is located right by the shore.

This old and fascinating restaurant is located in the very heart of Castiglione, a marvelous historical town on the Trasimeno lake. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming and the staff professional and extremely friendly.. but the food is not at the same level.. dishes are well presented but not tasty! They miss a sparkle.. theyâre flat. Itâs a shame because the potential is very high!!

Our Restaurant is small and welcoming,is located on the main steps that lead to the historical center of Castiglione Del Lago with a lake view.We offer you ,in a family atmospher,a tipical cuisine of Umbria and Tuscany, very simple, homemade,as made from ou
We called at this Osteria for Pranzo just after we had arrived in C d L as it was close to where we were staying. First impressions were of a traditional small family owned restaurant with lots of pictures of the local area around the lake stretching back to the early 20th century. What followed was a meal where the ingredients spoke for themselves and were prepared simply and sympathetically by someone who obviously loves food. (like me) Roberto introduced himself at the end of the meal after I had commented on how good it was to his wife who serves up the food. We had quite a long chat about it although as our Italian is not that advanced we could not avoid the coccasional consult with Google translate. He explained about the rare breed pig (Cinta Sinese) he sources from the region of Siena inTuscany which has now been given DOP status. Forget bland, white (often dry) meat we have become used to when eating pork. This is completely different and delicious and a cross between Cingiale (Wild Boar ) and domestic pig. The animals are reared in the semi-wild and forage for sweet and bitter acorns, tubers and tuffles. The Starter platter of Prosciutto, Salami, Capo Collo all from this breed is outstanding and if served up by top London restaurants would probably cost a fortune We live in neighbouring Marche where salumi is also good but the rare breed of pork used here and the subtle use of fennel in Tuscan Salumi elevated it to something really special. The pork menu alone should make this place a must visit. Roberto also cooks lake fish, such as perch, persico and carp (the latter not really my cup of tea but , nevertheless well prepared and roasted with pork 'lardo' and fennel for those that DO like it) which we tried on or 2nd visit just before we returned home after our 4 day break.. I was surprised how quiet Trasimeno was (mid July) and even more surprised how quiet this restaurant was at lunchtime on a Friday. Given all of the above, the prices were modest and, this Osteria deserves a wider and bigger audience than it appears to have at the moment based on our two visits particularly with the produce on offer. Will certainly be back on our next visit. Cannot wait!Grazieeeee un saluto grande da Agnese,Roberto
