Reviews on Seafood food in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa. Port Elizabeth or The Bay (Xhosa: iBhayi; Afrikaans: Die Baai [di ˈbɑːi]) is one of the largest cities in South Africa; it is situated in the Eastern Cape Province, 770 km (478 mi) east of Cape Town. The city, often shortened to PE and nicknamed "The Friendly City" or "The Windy City", stretches for 16 km along Algoa Bay, and is one of the major seaports in South Africa. Came upon this restaurant on a street with 5 or 6 different restaurants next to each other. Menu looked OK so we gave it a go. I ordered lamb chops, which comes with potato wedges and spinach, when what I got was 4 wedges and some cheese sauced veg. My partner ordered calamari which she couldn't eat as it was so salty. When telling the owner this he reacted very rudely, and said she was wrong. Not 2 minutes later the table next to us also sent his food back for being to salty, interesting.... Also everything is a extra, steaks don't come with chips or anything you have to buy separately. His steaks aren't cheap and I've been in South Africa nearly 3 weeks and this is by far the worst value for money I've had.

Friendly welcome at arrival. Relaxing vibe. Luckily not busy when we arrived. Menu simple and not a lot of options.... which I personally prefer!I ordered hake & chips! Perrrrrfect!! Good selection of beer, service brilliant! And the view.....wow! Place do need some basic maintenance and background music. We were treated with a massive school of dolphins passing by in the waves â¤ï¸

Great Sushi, Greek and Italian food. Great ocean Views. 2 Bars. Cocktail Bar with big screen TV. 4 other TV's. Come and enjoy Great food and a Great vibe at #LaKouzina.
If you like Greek this is a must. What a pleasant surprise and recommended by my lunch partner. The venue is situated opposite the local Aquarium and overlooking one of the most pristine stretch of beach in the country. There is seating outside with the same view and must be great on a sunny day. This restaurant is owned by the same owner of The Coachman which i can also highly recommend, but is more formal. Prices are very reasonable and you will find wine at a very good price and quality. There is also a Sushi Bar on the 'outside' overlooking the same beach.

All you can eat everyday sushi buffet with an awesome selection of seafood and grill, or watch your chef cook in front of you on with our special Teppanyaki dishes.
Sitting outside on the deck on a deserved #Friyay afternoon after a long hard week, I was pleasantly surprised at the lovely ambience created at this sushi restaurant situated in a rather uninspiring little shopping center in PE.They have a lovely range of sushi, teppanyaki, and other interesting seafood mains on the menu, all fairly reasonably priced. I was super-impressed with my sashimi salad which, at R98, was gratefully generous in the amount of sashimi (salmon, tuna, prawn and crabsticks) served on a bed of fresh crisp, julienned and spiralised greens, fashionably presented in a deep salad bowl, unlike the accustomed small sushi-plate servings! My hubby opted for a selection of salmon roses and the Tempura prawn sushi, which he ordered with their wicked superhot Wasabi. There a few things that make me cry, and this (I'm ashamed to admit), was one of them! Our meal was beautifully paired with a glass each of the house Sauvignon Blanc. The service was prompt and professional, with the manager even coming to check up on the quality of service. A lovely experience; and I would most certainly be back for my powerhouse value-for-money sashimi salad with the superhot Wasabi!!

Blue Waters Cafe is situated next to the ocean with great views of the bay. We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our meals range from light meals, steaks, chicken and fresh fish.
Awesome memories and experiences at this wonderful restaurant. Their Strawberry Daiquiri just does it for me! We recently took the world renowned Pastor Ray Bevan from Wales in the UK, to this lovely restaurant while he was visiting here in PE, SA. One of my favourite PE restaurants. We enjoyed a delicious lunch! Good food, good wine and awesome company! Also beautiful beachfront views. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience there. Service, food and drinks was great. Definitely worth visiting for a lovely time with family and friends!

An interesting menu. We chose a combo of Portuguese Chicken (medium strength) and King Prawns, accompanied by boiled potato and spinach and carrots,Comments:The medium strength gave the chicken a subtle bite - I enjoy fairly hot dishes so will order the hot next time. The chicken was succulent and tender. The prawns were delicious - firmer than other prawns I've eaten recentlyShanna and her husband came to chat to us and he explained that they are wild Argentinian prawns, whereas the Queen Prawns are farmed, so it depends on one's preference.A useful tip they gave us is to ask to have eg one sardine or a small piece of cod as a starter rather than as a main first time round as they are Portuguese style and perhaps more of an acquired taste. We took our own wine and paid corkage. Our waitress was pleasant, prompt and helpful. All in all, a special experience for a special occasion.Shanna and her husband

Fushin Sushi and Eastern Cuisine is situated in the charming neighbourhood of Richmond Hill in Port Elizabeth. You will find us on Stanley Street, where you can choose to enjoy your meal inside our comfortable restaurant, or take a seat outside and enjoy
Whilst in PE for two nights for work ,we decided to visit Fushin after the previous nights lovely meal at Muse.Read the extensive reviews on TA and thought do many can't be wrong. We decided to order a large variety of shushi dishes from the menu and yes the service was great but I somewhat felt the shushi was mediocre.I've eaten a lot of shushi and having lived in cape Town for the last few years I do enjoy seafood and shushi. This offering from Muse did in my opinion maybe suffice for PE patrons but not to my pallette.Visually executed well...taste not so we'll.
