Staying nearby and chose this place because there were a lot of cars in the lot. Met a local inside who said the food is good and they are often busier than this. *Atmosphere - It's an older restaurant with some updates - restrooms. Too dark and could definitely use maintenance in the dining room where we sat near the bar. Crayon and splatters on wall, light falling from ceiling among other things. *****Service - Servers are very attentive. Ours was busy but two others pitched in to make sure we received fast drinks and assure our satisfaction. Drink refills showed up automatically. Nice job!***Food - stuffed mushrooms and biscuits consistent with chain standard. Generous amount of fresh grilled salmon even with it being 1/2 portion and very tasty. Broccoli was cooked inconsistent, some almost raw and other cooked soft. Rice was perfect. Hubby had good things to say about his shrimp linguine overall. We would recommend this Red Lobster location but keep comments in mind.

I stopped by this restaurant on the way home to pick up a to go meal. Service was excellent. The meal was just average. I had the fried shrimp plate and boudin balls. I enjoyed the fried shrimp, but was underwhelmed by both the french fries and boudin balls. I've definitely had better. The service I was received however, was excellent enough that I might go back to try other items.

Went on a Friday night. Restaurant not crowded, and was seated immediately Our waitress came soon after and took or drink orders. Their menu is adequate with several different types of food to choose from, but not overwhelming. They have a full bar, so if you like to order mixed drinks it is available. There is a TV in the bar area, but not in the main dining rooms, which does help with noise level while dining. I got the blackened catfish with green beans and sweet potatoes. The catfish was very good, received two nice size fillets, and the seasoning was not overly spicy as some blackened seasonings can be. When I ordered the sweet potato, I thought it would be a baked sweet potato, but it turned out to be mashed sweet potato instead. They were good, but I would have gotten the baked potato if I had know. The green beans were good, had been sautéed in seasoning and butter. My husband got their prime rib, which was tender and juicy,. The service was very good and prices reasonable. This restaurant's food is good, and servers very attentive, but if you are looking for a very festive atmosphere or like watching sports while eating this is not your restaurant. It is not a dress up type of restaurant, and there were some small children there, but mainly adults. It seems to be trying to cater to both people wanting fancy, and those who do not, they are somewhat managing, but if I truly want a fancy restaurant, I would not go here. Prices are very reasonable though, which is more than I can say for other restaurants in the area. You can get a good meal without breaking the bank.

Whole fried tilapia is served correctly. Crispy, head-on and the gills are cut out. A few slices on the skin would add texture so I’ll ask for that next time. We ordered several dishes because we kept seeing great stuff coming outside of the kitchen. If it’s packed just wait a minute and get your seat. Please quit inviting Guy Fieri here. This is world famous and it doesn’t need more business. I like to eat here vs stand in line. Ring me up if you’re headed there and I’ll meet you if I can. If not, just order up something and think of me and my review that brought you there. Best of travels,Me

Returning after being gone for three years and brought a first time guest. Appetizer was gumbo and out of bounds delicious my lunch was the Cheddar Soup with vegetables. My guest had the vegetable plate with dinner salad and their home made blue cheese dressing. Fried Okra, Broccoli Rice Casserole and Macaroni and Cheese. Yes the entire lunch was outstanding. So get on in here and enjoy what we already know. Retired Chef Gene

Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen

Convivial chain dishing up hearty portions of New Orleans-style seafood, steaks, salads & more.

We met friends here for dinner and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The restaurant feels like you're stepping into a bit of old New Orleans and has a charming courtyard, fountains, and an oasis of beautiful tropical plants. Even though there was a slight wait to be seated, the service was friendly, and they have a nice bar area. My husband and I shared the Mediterranean seafood salad that consisted of a large Greek salad topped with fresh shrimp, lump crabmeat, and a tasty lemon vinaigrette and the Chargrilled Shrimp Brochette that had perfectly cooked shrimp stuffed with a sliver of jalapeno to give it a little kick, all wrapped in crisp bacon. They let us substitute asparagus for the dirty rice for a slight upcharge, and they served everything with a large loaf of delicious French bread. I had a glass of their sangria, and it was perfect on a hot summer day. We've eaten at several different locations around the city, and the food is always good and reliable. Portions were large enough that we had some to take home with us. If you're looking for good seafood and a fun night out in a nice atmosphere, this place is hard to beat.

Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen offers a quality seafood experience in the William P. Hobby Airport, Houston. This is not a typical airport fare—the restaurant serves a real, very tasty food and drinks with all the efficiency needed for a busy airport. The restaurant is crowded, but we had no trouble getting our bags to our seat. The host and service staff were friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and quite busy. I especially noted how the servers kept an eye on traveler needs and jumped quick help folks get in and out to meet travel requirements. The menu was surprising—plenty of choices for fried and non-fried seafood dishes and some non-seafood offerings—pretty much the menu you’d expect an any full-service restaurant of this type, yet in an airport. All the food we ordered was fantastic and included ample portions. The prices matched the quality. Overall, I rate Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen at William P. Hobby Airport as a high value for engaged and friendly service, very good food, perfect price points, and location in a busy airport where more quality food is always needed. One of my favorite airport restaurants. Highly recommended.

Great staff and great prices. If you’re ever in the area it is worth a trip, everything is good. Red beans and rice, Gumbo, fried seafood.... never a bad meal.
