In the hamlet of Bettole, a couple of km from the centre of Pozzolo F.Here one eats Piedmontese cooking with a distinctly French accent. The owner is a coeliac; in consequence nearly the whole menu is gluten-free. It also changes 4 times a year to ensure produce is seasonal and as far as possible local.There are two set menus â one based on fish, one on meat and local produce; respectively â¬35 and â¬44 per head excluding drinks; they are only available, though, for the whole table. We ate from the carte because we weren't hungry enough to do either of them justice. It was hard to choose from all the tempting antipasti. In the end, we ignored scollops with creamed artichoke and fried artichoke, SanRemo scampi with ginger and green apple or a hazelnut tempura, and the pan-fried escalope of foie-gras with a passion-fruit coulis in favour of fried snails with wild mushrooms (in the autumn, they would have been porcini; but this was late winter) on a bed of creamed Jerusalem artichokes, and carne cruda, that old Piedmontese standby, this time spiced up with anchovies and capers.Our main course was a Piedmontese take on tournedos Rossini â the covering for which added grated Castelmagno cheese and a roasted chestnut sauce to the traditional foie-gras. Nearly all of the desserts are gluten-free; but I was the only one with any room for a pudding. I chose the chocolate fondant with vanilla ice-cream. I now know why so many Masterchef hopefuls try to make a fondant â it was absolutely delicious, and the ice-cream was nearly on a par with that of Conti's Café in Lampeter.Washing all this down with a 2006 Passum (Barbera d'Asti Superiore) from the Cascina Castlet in Costigliole d'Asti, a large bottle of mineral water, and coffee, we were very happy to walk away for a total of â¬119.Guys, if your wives aren't enthusiastic at the idea of this restaurant, you can tell them it is only 15km from the MacArthur Glen designer outlet in Serravalle Scrivia. I think lunch here would be worth the 45km drive from our house near Nizza Monferrato; but if you have to put up with a morning's shopping at Serravalle and pretending to know the difference between Moschino and Missoni (I don't, either), then it's your due!

We visited this restaurant getting back to Milan after a shopping day in serravalle, you can ask for menu Di degustazione and you can have a collection of appetizers and delicious hot typical bread and then a mix of two typical first dishes with a glass of wine, don't waste the sweets and the coffee all for around 30 euros... Must visit if you like to taste the typical food of Piemonte

I often come to eat here at the "Pizzeria La Terrazza", it is the only place to eat pizza by the meter. The large central hall hosts many tables, so it is possible to organize dinners with large groups. The pizza is good, especially the so called meter long or even longer. The pizza as I said is very good but perhaps because of the mix this brings scorching heat all night. The service is excellent, the waiters are professional.The prices are average, I also tasted the dessert home made type Neapolitan known as Baba, a giant soaked in rum and sugar, exceptional. As soon as I have the opportunity I always return here willingly.

In order to opening Acanto was last here in Novi Ligure. Positioned adjacent to the shopping center Galassia, this sushi restaurant offers wide front parking and the prices for lunch and dinner advantageous. Qualitatively, however, it is smaller than other similar restaurants in the area. I've been here at least three times, twice dine-in and one for take-away only. All in all good prices and average food.

We spent a pleasant evening in this place. The location is wide and the staff is kind. There is the possibility to eat Chinese and Japanese food, as usual in these places. There is a fixed price menu but beverage is not included. The quality is good, I suggest to taste the grilled fresh fish.

This restaurant is within the Relais Villa Pomela where we stayed for 4 nights. We particularly enjoyed the oven baked Ligurian style sea bass served with a local wine from the winery across from the hotel. We ate twice at this restaurant as it was so good and any other decent restaurants in the area seemed to be a long drive from this hotel.1st class food, service and decor are the hallmarks of this fine restaurant.

I consider the pizza Pizzeria Verdi absolutely the best in Novi Ligure. Pizza thin base and very tasty especially with the addition of buffalo mozzarella cheese, the only downside being so thin it gets cool quickly. Perfect service, low prices and smoking room, in short, a perfect restaurant.

The Relais Villa Pomela carries a Michelin recommendation sticker on the front door so we naturally assumed that dinner here would be something nice.The restuarant is cramped and we had hoped we could have been seated outside. No such luck however.Teh wine we ordered was not available, som another was suggested. This was howver not what we wnated so we selected a different wine and without asking this as exchanged with our consent for what they said was "similar". When we discovered this the mâitre'd tried manyy excuses before he understood we knew what we were talking about and then suggested we could have something else (better) for the same price, as a compensation. We accepted but were a little sceptical after our previous bottles. This third bottle was OK.The food was served promptly, but because of the mishap teh wine was served well after each course was served. Naturally the staff was stressed about situation but because it was so poorly managed we felt that the dinner was not worth the cost.
