Things to do in North Stradbroke Island
Solo lunch. Had never there before.Large selection on menu. Prices very reasonable. I tried their fruit and nut loaf with an iced decaf coffee. Staff very friendly. Food and drink arrived without fuss. This restaurant is located at the rear of the local library. Has many places to choose to sit. There's a deck, sit outside under the lovely tree or sit inside. Fabulous! The reason for the poor rating is 1, can't seem to make the rating go to 5. Definitely not the a one!
This is a great little takeaway Fantastic burgers . The shop is right down near the end of Cleveland near the ferries . Great place to grab a bite to eat and go and sit near the water

Indulge in the whale rock big brekkie and a side of the island's best coffee. For lunch or dinner, dine alfresco with a beer on tap or grab takeaway fish 'n' chips and head to Frenchman's Beach.
The food was unbelievable. How amazing that fish, fries and salad was! It compensated for any downside you may have during your stay. Simply amazing. You must grab yourself a menu and order at the counter, take a number back to your table and the waiter will bring your food. Tried a strawberry bliss ($16) that was a cocktail with tequila, vodka and strawberry, and it was great. Not too strong and very well presented. Would recommend. This time we ordered to have at the restaurant, but than we just saw that if we had ordered to go the prince would be $20 less! So definitely next time we'll order to go and have lunch across the street at the BBQ area (with tables, water and chairs) watching the ocean. Would totally come back, and recommend!

We are here last night.Having just opened, the restaurant was pretty quiet. People are missing out - this is a really great restaurant which has only been open for a few months.Service was excellent. The staff are smiling and helpful. They serve a mean margarita! The food is terrific! We shared a starter of lemon myrtle calamari! Lovely. Two of the party had beef ribs for main course and these were fab! Almost too much! Another had prawn and sweet corn risotto, while I had grilled barramundi. Both of these were truly delicious! Unfortunately we were too full to have a dessert. This is is a great place, and hopefully we will return before we head bsck to Scotland.

My husband and I took a couple visiting from San Diego to the Lighthouse so they could enjoy the view of Moreton Bay. The view is wonderful The two guys ordered crumbed fish and chips and enjoyed their meals. I tasted their chips and they were very crispy - exactly what you want from a chip. My husband and I ordered natural oysters, which he really enjoyed, but I found to taste a little iodine-y. I ordered the mussels in Thai spiced coconut milk. The mussels were very large (not a plus in my book) and very dry and tough, piled in a too small bowl. I ate just three and then gave up. Service was friendly but not at all attentive. We waited for our check for a long time with no server in sight, until we remembered this is one of the places that you go to the cashier up front, give her your table number and then pay.

Rufus King Seafoods in Amity Point, Nth Stradbroke Island and Ashgrove, Brisbane, offer fresh 'Straddie' seafood to the public. Products include prawns, balmain bugs, sand crabs, mud crabs, oysters and local fish fillets. We are a retail store, open 7 day
My mouth was watering as I'd heard how great the fresh prawns right off the trawler daily are.Sadly when we stayed for a mini break there was a six week ban on prawn fishing to allow for breeding season. The young woman serving was honest and upfront about this and I liked her honesty. She even peeled a prawn for us so we could try a 'snap frozen one'. Still delicious so we bought some. Can't wait to return to try the fresh ones.Good Evening,Thank you for your review, we appreciate your understanding and I'm glad you still enjoyed our 'Snap Frozen Ones' that were still locally and recently caught just before the closure. Unfortunately we can't go fishing all the time, I'm sure you understand, I mean we have to allow species to recover right? 6 out of 52 weeks a year, I think it's the least we could do for such beautiful seafood. We look forward to you visiting again and getting try our fresh ones that have literally been swimming in the door since Thursday.Take Care and Safe travels.

We ordered two fish meals consisting of fish, chips, and salad. The prices are reasonable. The serving size is large, and the quality of the meal was just superb. The fish was beautifully cooked. We loved it. Plenty of free parking behind Woolies across the road, and indoor or outdoor dining is available.

Booked for a Sunday night for Fatherâs Day for 7pm and had only 1 serving of calamari left and no lemon meringue left. On arrival not a pleasant welcome because we arrived with 2 Prams even though I mentioned I wanted to book a table with 2 high chairs but depending on our babies we may use the Prams in place of the high chairs. The food was good but wouldnât come again even though there isnât much choice of dining on Stradbroke island.
